Researchers have turned to yeast to do the manufacturing of cannabis compounds CBD and THC. By loading brewer’s yeast with genes from the cannabis plant, they’ve turned the miracle microbes into cannabinoid factories. It’s a clever scheme in a larger movement to methodically pick apart and recreate marijuana’s many compounds, to better understand the plant’s true potential. Having a vat of yeast churning out pure, non-psychoactive CBD promises to massively simplify production. “Being able to produce that in a way that's uncontaminated with THC is a pretty valuable thing,” So here the rub. CBD use MUST include at least a small amount of THC for it to be effective. A minimum ratio of 1:50 of THC vs.CBD all the way up to 50:50. Higher amounts of THC increase the efficiency of CBD as it does its magic. Let’s not forget the TERPENES in Cannabis. What Are the Effects of Mixing Marijuana and Alcohol? Of the options, vegetable glycerin seems to be the healthiest option, but at best your still inhaling a foreign substance into your lungs. And, glycerine when heated produces a chemical compound that damages the alveoli in the lungs causing permanent scarring of the lung tissue. I can't imaging coating the inside of my lungs with glycerin and chemicals is healthy in any way. Not to fret!!! We are developing oils, edibles and topical to eliminate the desire to vape or smoke.
