Hester got her poison!
That’s an accurate representation of how lair expansions work
So !! I need treasure on Flight Rising, so I decided to open up commissions for in game money.
Prices:
- Pencil headshot with major detail: 60k treasure
- Colored headshot with no major detail: 50k treasure
- Pencil full body with major detail: 100k treasure
If the dragon has apparel it might add more to the price depending on how complex it is.
Rules:
- Nothing not safe for work. - If the dragon has too much going on, I might ask for another dragon. - Let me know of your FR username. I can upload the file and send it to you that way ! - PLEASE credit me if you put my art on the dragon you had me draw. Thank you !
I’m only opening 3 slots at a time since it’s my first time opening commissions !
1. TAKEN 2. OPEN 3. OPEN
reblogging w/ an update ! Two more slots left !
I'd love one!
hey if you’re a primarily-fr related blog could you reblog this please? i need more blogs to follow
I have a long-held pearlcatcher headcanon which I thought of while brainstorming my character Hieronymus!
Pearlcatchers are fastidious groomers, and spend long hours bonding with their family and friends through grooming like cats. The grit they consume is stored in a special organ, which is then converted to the nacre secreted to coat their pearls. Thus, their pearls really are made of memories in a sense, as the size and quality of their pearls are a direct reflection of their time spent nurturing relationships. (Edit addition: Being the canonical snots they are, many pearlcatchers use the size of their pearls as a Facebook-esque “look how many more friends I have than you!” sort of trophy.)
Losing a pearl is worse than the loss of a cherished family photo album or collection of irreplaceable keepsakes. Pearlcatchers without pearls are looked upon warily not only because they’ve lost their “identity,” but because of the prejudiced and harmful belief that the dragon in question might be incapable of forming healthy relationships, therefore justifying their ostracization.
Deity Patron Headcanon
What if dragon’s with specific jobs had like patron deities? So like a Light dragon who is a blacksmith may pray to Flamecaller for a steady hand and eye while crafting, and Nature angler invoking Tidelord so that he may have a good catch of the day. Some of these are more obvious but others I had fun thinking of, please add more to the list- or tell me if one of the professions may fit another deity! Had the hardest time thinking of ones for Icewarden and ones other than the typical for Stormcatcher and Arcanist OTL. Some are repeats because I could see the some of the deities being both.
Flamecaller- Patron deity of blacksmiths, art, chefs and craftsman (or Craftdragons?)
Plaguebringer-Patron deity of healers, morticians, scavengers and warriors
Windsinger- Patron deity of merchants, travelers, map makers, musicians ..and thieves
Stormcatcher-Patron deity of scientists and engineers
Lightweaver- Patron of scholars, scribes/writers and law (pursuit of truth)
Tidelord- Patron of seers, mystics, sailors, ship builders, deep sea divers and anglers
Arcanist-Patron of astronomers, magicians, daydreamers and poets
Earthshaker- Patron of historians, archeologists, miners, and architects
Shadowbinder- Patron of entertainers, assassins, illusionists, circus folk and gamblers/game makers.
Gladekeeper- Patron of farmers, foragers, hunters, potion makers, botanists and beast tamers
Icewarden- Patron of adventures, paleontologists, warriors and guards
Breeds that roar:

Breeds that hiss:

Breeds that growl:

Breeds that scream (raptor/bird scream):

ok but think about this;
mirrors headbutting each other
not just bc their angry either, but bc theyre happy to see each other, or for dominance, or for fighting practice
MIRRORS HEADBUTTING EACH OTHER LIKE GOATS OR STAGS
Dragon bathing headcanons?
Talking lore with @surfingrising has me curious. What does everyone think about dragon bathing practices? This is how I write my lore, but I’d love to hear input/any you can think of, and if there’s any official lore on this?
Coatls: Lick like cats and are very particular about it, especially the feathery parts.
Tundras: Dust baths all the way, rolling about happily and shaking like dogs when they’re done.
Skydancers: Preen like birds, and use water for quick dips like birds do, ruffling their feathers in it.
Ridgebacks: Polish their hard scales and sharpen their spines with a file on special occasions. No water. Ever.
Mirrors: I always pictured them to have a leathery hide? And always being on the go, they take mud baths, slopping about messily and letting it dry and crumble away naturally as they get on with their day.
Fae: Communal preening like a group of small monkeys, much licking, it’s a sign of closeness.
Snappers: Mud baths of course, but will happily wade into a river to wash down.
Spiral: What’s a bath? (constantly winding through tight spaces rubs any grime off anyway.)
Wildclaw: Carefully rubs off dirt with handfuls of leaves, but make sure to leave dried blood on for as long as they can: it’s a sign of a fight won.
Nocturne: Only cleans in private, at night when they wrap themselves up in their wings. Pretty much clean like bats.
Pearlcatcher: Remain immaculate at all times, using water and commonly a variety of lotions, products and concoctions. Water and towels for them, mud or leaves are unthinkable. The most likely breed to use too much perfume.
Guardians: A good swim, especially being tossed about in the waves, where the sand can buff their scales.
Imperial: Careful maintenance, keeping claws at the proper length and mane trimmed and detangled if need be is a must. Scales don’t need much maintenance, they shed often enough to be content with a polish here and there.

My amazing plague ambassador: Persephone!
This is going to sound really, really stupid, but I had no idea that when you bought another apparel slot, ALL of your dragons get to wear more stuff.
I seriously thought it was only for one dragon.
Omg I was not aware of this either!!! Whoohoo!!! *scurries off to put more clothes on pixel lizards*
Doodling dragons 10 minutes before my call! I’m surprised this isn’t covered in make up.
Ahhh this is so cute! Thanks again!
