Online Profiles Through The Years

2000: Cutesy nickname, DD/MM, too scared to even list your country in case the cyber predators hunt you down

2010:  Selfie as your profile picture, first name, country is okay now but sharing your state means death, “14 years young ;)”

2015: Every single listable physical or mental condition you have, plus your orientation, gender, political leanings, and opinions on the war in Ba Sing Se

2020: Intricately-designed carrds with all of the information above, plus a history of your every trauma so strangers on the internet can judge your right to consume a fictional series. Extensive DNI lists (which are a good idea, but with little power to be implemented effectively). 

2021: “Anti-masker/Pro-masker” is mandatory information to share, lest you be hunted for sport by online moderators. There are cute emojis for both.

2025: The full address to your school so people can sit in and assess your access to certain online spaces based on how popular/successful you are.

 2030: A link in your bio that can teleport mutuals directly to your house. If they deem your vibes to be toxic you are executed on the spot.
