okay maybe question maybe not but i started to read the entire “witch hat atelier” manga and saw all of the existing anime, and i genuinely love about it everything so so so much HOWEVER

as a law student i cannot help but constantly wonder about why the fuck there are no some kind of witch court or something that would happen with classical judicial proceedings, whereas some criminal offences (using forbidden spells) could be pardoned if it happened in act of self-defence or in order to save someone’s life, and then truly awful witches are going to be punished accordingly??? and not immediate action without presumption of innocence from knights moralis as well as proper investigation

i mean i get it the ancient law yabadaba daba order this order that but i am genuinely thinking they need to witchify phoenix wright and bring him to the table /JJJJ
