druidregulus:
He had been in there for a long while now, feeling all the drying of his skin and body just slip away as the water practically soaked into his skin. He stepped out of the water only to see a cute fluff running towards him, making him immediately jump right back into the fountain with a cautious eye. Today was not the day to be peed on. He had enough animal pee on him from centuries of curious critters. And possibly some scarring from a stupid buck marking his territory. He was not a marking post nor a antler sharpener but alas… he had became one. He saw the man pick the pup up. Eleanora? It was fitting and cute. It brought a smile on his face as he stepped out, shaking his head.
“No worries, mate. She just scared me is all. Don’t need pee on me after hydrating.” He let out a hearty laugh. He walked over to the two, gentling petting the dog with his index finger, worried his rough skin might hurt her. “She’s cute. I have a darling of my own at home. Lionel the Hedgehog. He thinks he runs the house.”
For such a passive and stoic man, this one dog was sure dragging out all of his emotions out of him. Lorenzo schooled a light scowl as he scratched the puppy behind the ear. “Mi dispiace, again, signore,” he said even though the man had just said that he didn’t mind it too much. The laughter was a nice reassurance, but he was still slightly overwhelmed with the dog to feel fully relaxed. First he got a new occupation and now this? He really would start to unravel sooner rather than later. “I am new to owning a pet, and she is making a lot of things more difficult than needed,” he said in a rather irked tone.
