This is the story of Prince Apollo and his devoted Knight, Sir Klavier. Here are the illustration i did for the 2021 klapollo minibang where i partnered with @parchmints on her royalty / fantasy AU! What i love about Phoenix wright is that no matter how ugly the case is, he always trust in his clients. Like everyone in the world could be against you when you're accused but this guy would run to the moon and back to get you a not guilty verdict, not cuz he wants to win but because he genuinely believes that you're innocent. He doesn't even have to know the full story for him to trust in you as a client. That's why the matt engarde case broke him so much, cuz he genuinely believed that Matt was innocent. He couldn't even fathom the idea that Matt being the killer until he actually got enough to clue to think otherwise. Phoenix is a good lawyer because he sees the good in people and despite him complaining about his clients, he still go all out for his clients. Even when his clients themselves say they're guilty (Maya, Edgeworth, Lana, de lite), he still firmly believes that his clients are innocent despite not even knowing the whole truth behind the case yet. I just.....love this spiky boi so much
