they're never going to make an aa7 but when they do make an aa7 it should be about manfred von karma's unnamed 7yo granddaughter who has a dog named "phoenix" and who would be perfectly nineteen years old and protagonist-aged by aa6's point in the timeline. let's say her parent, franziska's presumed elder sibling, cut off contact with the von karmas after the whole "papa, you shot your rival?" thing. the last straw after the "papa, you took in your mysteriously dead rival's son? and he's seven years older than franziska?" thing. and the lifelong "perfection" thing. unnamed granddaughter von karma can be passionate about the law as a way of feeling close to an extended family she lost access to in childhood. we could meet manfred's unnamed wife who we only know exists because he talks up her cooking once in AAI2.
ace attorney still has so much it could say about family and inherited burdens. manfred is dead, why not let his spectre haunt unnamed granddaughter von karma. walk with me. join me on this path.
A shocking incident has occurred at Shipshape Aquarium! During one of the aquarium's "Swashbuckler Spectacular" shows, one of the performers and orca trainers, Azura Summers, was killed by Ora Shipley, the very orca she worked with daily. The killer whale is set to be put down, and our condolences go to the loved ones of Summers.
How often Ace Attorney Characters Acknowledge Your Badge (in Graphs)
Everyone who’s ever played an Ace Attorney game knows that the most important thing is to show your badge to anyone and everyone that you come across. But how often do characters actually acknowledge it when you do?
I got curious, so I compiled all the dialogue that occurs where you present your badge during investigation segments in the mainline Ace Attorney games, and I crunched the numbers for how often showing your badge brings up special dialogue (with graphs and everything, because I will never pass up an opportunity to make silly graphs)
Here’s how often presenting your badge brings up special dialogue in each mainline game:
More graphs and data details below the cut (beware some implied spoilers for the mainline AA games) ~
Here’s the special dialogue rate by episode:
And here it is by PoV character:
Overall Numbers / fun facts:
By my count, there’s 319 opportunities to present your badge across the mainline AA games, and 141 of them (44%) have special dialogue
You can show your badge to 100* different characters, of whom 55 (55%)* acknowledge your badge at least once. 21* of them acknowledge it at every opportunity :)
Turnabout Sisters is the first case where you can present your badge to anyone, but it doesn’t feature any special dialogue for it at all. The only other case (that has investigation segments) where that happens is Turnabout Succession
Maya has the most badge-related special dialogue of any character, with 11 unique badge-related lines (Gumshoe is a close second, with 10)
*ish. There’s 103 distinct character names in the data, but that count doesn’t factor in all the identity shenanigans that go on in the series, which makes it tricky to get exact figures. I accounted for a handful of name-dupes for the above counts, but it’s possible I might’ve overlooked some others
Data notes:
I pulled the dialogue from the episode transcripts on the Ace Attorney wiki for every instance in investigation segments where it’s possible to present your badge. I counted dialogue as “special”/acknowledging the badge if it was uniquely tied to presenting the badge (which is indicated in-game by the badge evidence icon swooshing up as the dialogue starts). Here's a link to the dataset in Google sheets
For some of the counts, I filtered out repeated occurrences of dialogue (so if you have multiple different opportunities to present your badge to specific character during the episode and they repeat the same dialogue more than once, only the first occurrence counts). This doesn’t happen all that frequently, so it didn’t make that big of a difference to most of the numbers.
Prosecutors who don't have to go up against Phoenix must LOOOVE him. They find out the person they're prosecuting was a witness in Mr. Wrights trial and they're like oooh fuuuck yes. Fuck yes its gonna be so easyyy we're gonna be here for an hour at most

shoutout to this gem from a video game magazine from the year 2000 me and my roommate found at our local used games store
Idk if this will ever happen but I need AA7 to be a Mia Fey game so bad. The Redd White trial clearly was meant to be much more complicated and intense, and we could come back to that. We can see what Mia and Maya's dynamic was like, when she was alive. I want to see them fight and reconcile, I want to see Mia wrestling with the fact that her dedication to her work is driving people away from her (parallels to Lana Skye perhaps). I want to see her try (and fail) to move on from Diego. I want to see her at some huge conspiracy corkboard at 2 AM.
I am glad the games expanded on Mia and did not just leave her as the dead exposition tutorial character, but it would be even better if she had her own game.
I like to imagine that all the stupid mistakes I made in the game are canon, and Phoenix just pulls random trash he found at the crime scene out of his pocket and hands it to the Judge until something finally turns out to be correct evidence:

showcased at Bilibili World last weekend. it looks like they're being released by apex toys, and feature phoenix wright and miles edgeworth, are we surprised?
These statues have our favorite rivals bursting out of a picture frame for their famous objections. it looks like phoenix wright is surrounded by an ivy of some kind, and miles edgeworth has some cute daisies with him. i'm not super great with plants though, so i could be wrong on either front. there's also a scale of justice behind phoenix, and what looks to me like the hilt of a sword behind miles? or maybe it's also supposed to be a scale, but it looks just different enough to me that i think i'm right.
There are a few more photos on news.ami-ami's site. check out the link bellow:
From July 10th (Fri) to July 12th (Sun), 2026, the "Bilibili Wo" event was held at the Shanghai National Convention Center.
No clue when these are coming out, or if they'll be easy to get a hold of.

thinking about klapollo as that one meme - someone asks klavier where he got his top from. klavier responds like 'shirt is from dior, boyfriend is from khura'in'
