hollywood lite unsuspecting interview
what is the best advice you've ever received about love?
“when i was a kid, my father was a carpenter, and my mother liked making and selling these signs with old amish sayings on them. she had one hanging in our house which pretty much means “hands make houses, love makes homes” and that always stuck with me. you don’t feel at home unless you feel loved, at least to me. i’m sorry if this doesn’t make any sense.”
have you ever had your heart broken?
”yes. only once. i’ve only ever been with one person.”
are you friends with any of your exes?
“trying to be, yeah, but it’s pretty hard after what she did.”
what do you personally consider cheating?
“i don’t know. i think i’d have to be in the situation to tell. it all depends.”
is there anything in your personal relationships currently bothering you?
“um, kind of? i dunno, i just feel a lot of the time like i’m a burden on people, and it bugs me. people have had to always take care of me and teach me since i left home and it makes me feel a bit guilty. there was a while when i first joined canal street where my bandmates had to speak for me a lot or try to explain things in the little bit of english i knew and it messed me up.”
[if muse is unmarried/unengaged] is settling down in your future?
“i don’t think so. not for a long time, at least. i’ve realized i need to focus on figuring out myself and who the fuck eli is before i give myself to anyone else seriously again.”
if today you found out [you were pregnant/got someone pregnant *depending on muse*], how would you feel about it?
“i’d be confused, honestly, ‘cause i don’t know much about that stuff but i don’t think that can happen. i’ve never even kissed anyone.”
are any of your personal needs not being met or taken care of properly?
“i think i’m okay in that world. i have amazing friends who help me out and i’ve been getting better at learning what i need lately. that probably didn’t make sense. i’m sorry.”
when it comes to your relationships working out, is it mostly a result of you or your partners?
“i don’t want to put all the blame on my ex, because there was probably things i didn’t do right, but a lot of what happened between us was because of her, and madison was the only relationship i’ve ever had, so.”
have you ever had or considered having an affair? why or why not?
“no. never. i think doing that to someone, it’s horrible. just break up with them if you don’t love them enough to be faithful.”
what's the worst thing you've ever done to someone you were dating? how about to someone who was an ex?
“i don’t know honestly. i did put too much pressure on her, though. i was falling in love and she wasn’t ready for that, and i think that’s a chunk of why we didn’t work. i wanted too much. why do we have to talk about this so much? it’s weird.”
what's the worst thing that's been done to you an ex/by someone you were dating?
“we hadn’t seen each other in person since the night we met. we had a plan for her to come visit for valentine’s day, and i had a huge date planned, it was gonna be great. i went to the airport and she never showed. i waited for, i think like fifteen hours before finally my friend came and picked me up because she wasn’t coming. and she never talked to me after that until a couple weeks ago when i messaged her to ask what happened.”
what is a relationship deal breaker for you? have you ever overlooked this for someone?
“i think now i’d say someone who just....isn’t all there. i ignored the signs before that madison wasn’t that into me and it fucked me up in the end.”
