Am I the only one who kinda feels that Horace is some kind of "ring leader" in Candle Cove? Like sure there are obviously higher personas than him like Skin-Taker and Earl of Wax. But hear me out:

- Earl is tehnicly just a side villan (Skin-Taker being the main). He does take and torture pirates simply for not liking them. But that's litteraly all his rich ass does!

- Then we have Skin-Taker and he is obviously the moast power full one and the main one and I love him for that. He skins and kills litteraly anyone just for the fun of it and his sadistic desires. (my fave for a reason) He wants revange on Poppy and he is keen on taking Janices skin.

- Then we have Horace... I think his character is not fully explored and that he is more capeble than show makes him out to be. He has summoning powers (that's very important point in this). He summoned Skin-Taker, a really powerfull persona and he also can brake the forth wall and speak to the audience. (not as much as Skin-Taker but he still can)

Now I'm thinking and this is just my theory cause I don't see anyone else talk about this. But waht if Horace is the one who summons the children to Candle Cove? What if he summoned Janice as well? I feel like that part and his part in the show is not fully explored and that he has much more depth than just being "laughably evil" as the wiki says.

But again this is just something that came to my mind. Let me know what you think about it.

Hey guys it's been a hot minute.. But i'm back now! So let's get this show on the road.

In honor of my fav band Violent Vira relesing new album I tought to analise one of my favourite songs by them that havely reminds me of Candle Cove.

It is in the book sequils where Red Marry burns down Lillian's ship and everything that happend after.

I find the whole song from Lillian's perspective. First verse refers to her in denial that Thade went crazy and left after the Red Marry incident, she can't comperhand it.

The first part of this verse I feel like it would refer to her thinking after Thade left that maybe he died somewhere along the way since he hasn't came back around for years. "There's too much that we left unsaid" refers to fan theorys that Lillian was pregnant with Thade's child and she didn't tell him. Not to mention that their relationship isn't exacly fully established so it can also refer to feelings between them that were left unsaid. After Thade left she felt empty and alone espacely with the fact that she was pregnant, she was probably feeling it 10x worse.

Sad truth to the ending of the book is that Red Marry came to the village Lillian, Boar and her daughter were living in,she killed them all in the fire and Thade only came back after everything was done and they were all gone. Lillian always loved Thade and continiued to love him and because she died he was and stayed her lover forever.

Maybe I started my come back a little depressing, but hey it is what it is. If you like these tipes of posts there is a lot more songs that I relate to Candle Cove so I can do more if you'd like to see it!

Any Skintaker/ Thade hcs? I'm rotating him in my head like a rotisserie chicken

I was waiting for this question... My favourite character yay!🩶

-Skin-Taker is a collectors. Everything he fids facinating or pretty he takes it (crystals, shells, broken glass)

-I think that he finds skins with tattoos or beauty marks or scars basicly anything thats "unusual" compared to normal plain skin way more valuable

-Both him as Skin-Taker and Thade give me Lana Del Rey energy (Born to die/Ultarviolence)

- Every time I see that clip on YouTube from Chanel Zero Candle Cove where Skin-Taker chases Percy I just imagine Tag you're it by Melanie Martinez in the backround

- Skin-Taker is not found for the living exept animals. His favourite are cats. As Thade he loved butterflyes

- Thade loved music spesificly guitar played music tho he found any kind of instrument facinating

- Also when he found out about every colour he learned them and knew every colour and shade by heart (Probably still does)

- Skin-Taker when he is not skinning or killing loves to hang out on the beatches just walking around or just staring in the diatance

- He brakes forth walls all the time. Honestly I think he enjoy interacting with audience way more than any character in Candle Cove

- As Thade he loved drawing and it was always as clourful as posible

- His bones are probably on some places stained with old blood and he can't get rid of it cause he can't swim to get it of and I don't find him to like getting showers or stuff like that so

- This is again on of thing that I do but every time I go to the mall or out in general and I see something skeleton like i'm always like "Skin-Taker reference!!!" (I'm werid)

- Obviously he loves blood and is very sadistic but I think we all knew that

- I think Thade usualy would wnat to hald someones hand or arm or any small phisycal contact when he was scared.

- For example when it was his first time seeing night sky and he was tarefied so he called Lillian I imagen him pulling her out to show it to her while holding her arm like a life line

- I was about to say what I think what Age would be Thats and then later Skin-Taker but I remeberd he was imortal. Mans could be 1000 years old for all we know

- I think 2020 - 2025 would send Skin-Taker in coma

- Thade was wery foud of children while Skin-Taker (moast of the time) can't stand them. But I guess it depends of what kind of child we are talking about

- Thade loves night sky. He loves stars and often counts them and even tho everyone say "You know you can't cout them all right?" he does not care

- If you ask him about relationships (Romanticly) Thade would get really flustered and imedietly think of Lillian (I ship the so hard), while if you ask Skin-Taker it would be very very very very very hard to catch his attention. But if you do he could protect you at all cost

- He kills, skins and tortues just cause he finds it entretaining. He could be like "Well damn I'm bored today...... Lets find another victim-" and the precides to do what I liste above

- I don't know why but I think taht Thade as his wepon had a dager/knife that had magic to kill Earl of Wax and other shadow people (Yes I think he is litteraly shadow ant here is more of his kind. If you want Earl of Wax headcanons I would love to do it) and he still has it as Skin-Taker but he keeps it away

- As much as he loves skinning people and all that he also as we all know loves to sew up skins to his cape and hat. But he also loves to sew other thing from skin like blankets or pillows and other stuff

- Yes I think in episode "Mrs. Skin-Taker" she represented Lillian and no one can change my mind

Sure!

- He smokes 100%

- He loves to watch stars or sky in any time of day while he smokes

- He defenetly pickpockets or moast of the time if he doesn't have patients he just punches them straight in the face and the steals from the preson

- I don't think that anyone genuenly likes him. Cause he is an asshole. Besides Sariah and maby Jenace. (Of course Poppy cares for him cause he is his bother but he doesn't **like** his behaviour or stuff like thatt)

- He would probably kick you or punch you just cause

- Also drinks and defenetly gets drunk in the nearest pub

- Sometimes they need to drag him back in the ship

- I know there is contreversy about his hair in the wiki says that children who watched the show would see his hair eather as stati or their own hair colour but personaly I always imaginated him as blond

- I think moast people hate Milo and Milo hates them back. What I'm trying to say is he isn't wery esay to get close to

- Before Sariah he would go around flirting with every women who breaths, he was a total womanizer (and probably still is)

- Sariah was the only person he ever truly loved and cared for

- I feel like him and Poppy would have some tragich story on how they lost their parents. I always imagined as Milo was close to his mom but he hated his dad

- I think his birthday would be Friday the 13th for no reason at all it just seems right to me

- He probably is slightly sadistic depens who you ask

- His beef with Percy is projected from his own insecurities. He doesn't actualy hates him but would never admit it

- R. I. P Milo you would loved "Oh No!" by Marina and the diamonds

- Milo is just Marina coded in Family Jewels and Electra Heart albums

- E. V. O. L (unreleased version) by Marina is a song about how I think relationship with Milo would go and look like argue with the wall

- He always wears a lot of rings on his hands

- Skin-Taker doesn't stand Milo for one second nor does Horace lol

- I think is favourite colour would be orange or green I don't know why

- One personal thing. I used to love Milo when I started to get into the creepypasta. Like I loved that dude but the more I was into the creepypasta the more I realized how much of an asshole he is and now I don't like him that much.

- I think he would be decent at drawing or writing maby. He is not the best but he is trying. (It's more of like "calm down" system)

Do you have any Pirate Percy headcanons?

Hey, thanks for your ask! I wanna apologize if this si late but I had a lot to deal with recently so now I'm back at it again :)

- Percy is horibly anxous and probably wouldn't want to go on moast of the missions if others didn't drag him in

- He is defenetly an older bother figure to Janice. I feel like he would read her storyes before the bed or sing to her and that kind of stuff

- Also I think since he is so afraid of certant people or situations that he really loves animals. (Cats specificly :P)

- He defenetly has insomnia and can't sleep half the times since he is afraid something is gonna happend to him. In fact I'm 100% sure he is scared to fall asleep

- I don't know why but I feel like he would be a good baker. Spesificly in sweet stuff like cookies or cupcakes

- He is defenetly tea over coffie kinda guy

- He is amazing listener and (sometimes) advice giver

- He loves music and besides flute I think he would be pretty good with guitar (After a lot of practice)

- I can't get over that old part of the wiki that said that he is basicly nonbinary, I would like to add that he gaves me pansexual energy as well

- Even tho his father is dead he still has daddy issues and whats to make him proud no matter what he does even tho he is dead

- I think that if Candle Cove was to continiue he would eventualy become braver and has character development sarounding his anxieties and insecurities

- This is totaly rendom but in another life he was a butterfly

- I feel like Percy don't give a fuck about Milo. Like yes what Milo puts him trough is horible and probably leaves a few scars, we always see how Milo is pissed but Percy just doesn't have a reaction (Exept that one time he frowned at the screen because of that song Milo sang to him)

- I'm not sure if he knows that Thade and Skin-Taker are the same person, but if he were to find out I feel like he would be in strong state of denial and all the flashbacks of them together when they were in Tarantula crew would eat him alive

- Again super redom I think he would be very good at math and his favourite number is 4

- Even tho he is scared to death of everything half the time I think he loves to learn about new things

- Loves flowers. Just any kind of flowers he appreceates them

- He is afraid of metting new people but when he warms up to someone I think he would treat you amazing and would trat you like Janice

Skin-Taker: He is a big colector. Since in Abysal Kingdom there is no much to see I feel like he would find anything facinating in this world (A trait left from Thade) I also think he has he has his little collection of crystals

Percy: My mans is traumatized. He obviously has very big, very bad anxyety (We are same fr). Because of that I think it takes forever for others to convince him to go anywhere that isn't Laughingstock

Janice: She is just a sweetheart. I feel like she does a little gestures to others all the time like painting their nails or braiding their hair or making little bracelets as her showing gratitude

Milo: I feel like after he became loyal to Skin Taker and killed off his crew and Sariah he instantly regreted it but he didn't let it show.

Also can we talk about how in "Death of Milo" he litteraly died because he hurt Skin Takers ego? I saw someone on here talked about it unfortenetly I forgot the user. But basicly Skin Taker was offended that Milo didn't want to help him anymore and he decided to kill him just cause? (I don't know if I should cry or luagh at that)

Skin Taker: Back to Skin Taker I feel like he remember his past as Thade but just doesn't want to talk about it cause its obviously really painful for him. (I highly recomend to go to Candle Cove wiki and go to novels if you didn't alredy cause it really goes into his past). I also feel like he would go to "The Charred City Ruins and Graveyard" to mourn Lillian sometimes.

Poppy: Poppy is dad of the group. I just feel he would be very protective of everyone.

I also feel like he's beef with Skin Taker is so onesided cause I can promise you Skin Taker does not care. He didn't mention it once while Poppy seems to bring it up everytime he hears Skin Takers name.

When we are around that argument I feel like Skin Taker is more thankfull to Poppy than anything. Skin Taker let Thade die when Poppy skinned him, he tehnicly turned him into what he is and he seems to enjoy his life as Skin Taker wayyyyy more than as Thade.

Milo: Milo again. I feel like Sariah was the only person he ever truly cared about and let in.

Also I always felt like "Crybaby" album by Melanie Martinez gives me that werid eerie Candle cove vibe. Like I could give main characters their songs from that album if you want me to right now. Same with "Portals". Also Jazmin Beans old astetic also gives me that same vibe.

So one thing about me is that I love to in lude stuff I love in everything I do! One of them being Candle Cove obv. So what do I draw for school competition??? "Oh I don't know a felid of flowers?" "Or maby a beutifull sunset?" Nah its Skin taker skinning somebody. .....

This is what we have so far. I guess it counts as fan art? Anywho, it still in the early stages and it needs a tone more work BUT I wanted to shared it with you cause why not?

So the tactual theam was "On Friday we eat divers" and the other day I was listening to some music that remided me of Candle Cove witch remided me of Skin Taker and it just clicked. I was like "Omg NEED to do this" cause I love to do werid shit.

(Also my main teacher was so into the idea it's so funny. Ps if somebody has tips on how to draw a skinned decapetaded body tell me lmao)

And the tought of Skin Taker and Horace having a Q&A is halarious to me I love it.
