hi! so i wanted to see if ais naming us sparrow was symbolic or not, so i did some research into japanese culture surrounding sparrows (since i’m pretty sure that’s where ais originates? we assume he is an oni, and they derive from japan)
so in japanese culture, sparrows are often associated with perseverance, resilience and adaptability because they can thrive in many climates and overcome different challenges.
mc does do that in every origin- oracle mc escaped the cult they were worshipped in, exile mc lived without civilisation for the majority of their life and alchemist mc fled a mage who saw them as a test subject and presumably experimented on them.
sparrows are also seen as messengers of joy and happiness, bringing good fortune to those who encounter them
this i’m not sure applies to ts mc. if we go down the LI’s routes successfully and save them, then it may apply, but the other four LI’s who we do not chase never find the answer to their problems- and in the worst case scenario, die.
if we think about this from ais’ point of view, then it may make sense why he named us sparrow. sparrows are associated with the arrival of spring and hope for the future, their cheerful presence believed to bring harmony to people's lives and bring community.
ais is LONELY. he wants community, people around him free of the sea springs grasp. conscious people who can form their own opinions.
in a way it is him hoping we stick around, as our first day in eridea already reunites the five main LI’s for the first time in who knows how long.
my last point is that having sparrows nest near your home (or garden) is considered auspicious. they are believed to protect against negative energies and bring you blessings from above.
i’ve seen some theories on here that say our touch can minimise the hold ocudeus has on ais for a short time, and i think it makes sense.

I've imagined Mhin with dimple piercings for a long time and iykyk the eyebrow + dimple combo deal got sealed for me recently. I originally gave them a septum and a few different lip rings, but it made the lower part of their face too busy. In my heart I love mhin with snakebites or vampire bites but I don't think they'd want to be associated with sharp teeth cuz they hate monsters so much. /hj
Kuras I thought you didn't eat yet look at you with that nose ring! I went through a lot less trial and error with him lol.

I like the idea of Vere with a nose ring, but I don't personally see him as the type to have many piercings. And those lip rings are such a serve already.

Leander saw Ais' industrials and got jealous. For everyone else I also just imagined what piercings I think they'd look good with...but leander spoke in my mind and told me which ones he'd want. I'm not in love with the bridge as much but you couldin't pull the anti eyebrow or traigus from my cold dead hands. They're so vogue. Side note, his ear shape seems inconsistent, in the CG image he absolutely has the anatomy for an industrial, but in his sprite I'm not so sure.

I don't know if my questions can be answered. Feel free to skip them if not, but I really want to know:
1. What kind of fathers will Septem, Nulla, Neo and Rafael be if they have children?
2. Also, does Unum feel more appetite or romantic desire for us? If all the children grow up, will we be eaten by Unum or the Wives?
3. If Neo has romantic feelings for us and we tell him we don't like the way he talks, will he try to change for us, such as stopping hurtful words?
4. We all know Septem and Rafael cannot eat spicy food well, and Unum cannot taste anything. What about Nulla and Neo? Do they like coriander? (Sorry, I love coriander haha:)
5. I have read the Teag novel. Rafael knows he is a character remade many times, and he seems upset when Nulla is mentioned. Why? Do they have a bad relationship? Rafael used to get along well with Neo. Does he see Neo and Nulla as two different people, or just think Neo has changed? Is this related to the scene where Nulla accidentally hurt Rafael in the game?
6. Will there be a sequel to Teag? Will these characters appear to the public again, maybe in other works by Soffis? (Especially Neo and Rafael! They have too little screen time😭)

I can really only answer 4 and 6 due to headcanon and spoiler territory.
Nulla likes spicy food! Neo likes pebre and some chili peppers. Soffis said Chilean food isn't really that spicy, so his tolerance wouldn't be strong. She mentioned he wouldn't like Tajín.
Current tentative plans are a game about Magnum Opus, a Neo spin-off mini game, and an epilogue for TEAG, but nothing is set in stone. Right now, Soffis is just trying to get Act 3 out.
