idk guys u canāt preach abt gun violence and then go shoot someoneā¦
u canāt say weāre losing our rights and then go kill someone over freedom of speechā¦
what
why are ppl falling over each other to give sympathy towards someone who said black people are evil and gays are unnatural, but not the children in palestine
honestly, in this case i don't think it's ab giving him sympathy. The issue is how ppl are celebrating charlie kirk getting shot. And let's be real, it's extremely hypocritical of someone to preach ab gun violence and make this ONE exception of gun violence being justified just because the victim was a cruel person. Nobody should get shot. And no i don't feel the slightest bit of empathy for charlie kirk. He doesn't deserve all the cries from the public. I can't believe that ppl r wasting energy crying over that fucker when innocent children r dying everyday and nobody bats an eye. but i do also believe he had the right to say whatever fucked up bullshit he wanted, since it's part of freedom of speech.
no i get what you mean abt consistency and shit and how we shouldnt preach gun violence, but i think the bigger hypocrisy is how people suddenly remember their morals when its charlie kirk who got shot. like no one is wringing their hands about "nobody deserves violence" when its palestinian kids, black kids in america, queerpeople getting killed.its only when a fascist gets hurt that the empathy faucet turns on. i dont think anyone is saying "yayyy gun violence!", i'm just pointing iut how selective people's outrage actually is
^^ plus op put #rip
lowk i donāt get the palestine or gaza argument people keep making⦠what does that have to do with the us?
like actually iām not tryna be hateful
it has everything to do with the us, your tax dollars, weapons and politicians DIRECTLY fund and justify the genocide. so when people are crying over charlie kirk being murdered, the double standard is literally blaring
plus you are a part of the lgbtq+, saying rip to charlie kirk who shat on minorities and said trans people deserve to be treated the way they did in the 50s and 60s, and then in the same breath ignore the poor people enduring war, it seems tone deaf
idk i donāt think the us has any business doing anything supporting the genocide or not. itās not our country, not our business⦠and a lot of charlieās statements are taken out of context, like the empathy quote. i js feel like thereās a bigger problem than what he stood for and more one on how ppl reacted towards his opinion
actually the US does unfortunately play a big role in helping israel w the genocide of palestinians. Charlie kirk said he'd force his 8yr daughter to deliver a baby after she got raped and that's all u need to know to determine that he is a disgusting person
rape is crazy, but if my daughter was pregnant i also wouldnāt support an abortion
you realise ur literally defending the same ideology charlie kirk spreads right?? saying youd support forcing your daughter to give birth isnt just a different opinion, thats child abuse and torture. that is not morality thats cruelty dressed up as doing the right thing ... and it proves the point, people bend their ass backwards to humanise fascists while ignoring the actual lives being destroyed by those beliefs
if my daughter chooses to go out and have sex then yeah sheād pay the price to her actions????
so your logic is that if your own daughter chooses to have sex, she should be punished by pregnancy??? thats horrible and misogynistic of you, youre a woman yourself too š
sex isnt a crime and it sure as fuck doesnt receive a sentence. you are echoing the same fascist talking points charlie kirk pushes, treating womens bodies as punishment machines. that mindset does NOT make you right
also, if you believe in that so bad then wouldnt you say charlie kirk had what was coming to him?? considering he actively stood up for gun violence, and then paid the price by getting shot himself
he actively stood up for gun right not gun violenceā¦
and sex is not a crime, but if u choose to have it and end up pregnant u donāt get to cry.
if you commit murder and end up in jail, thatās also a punishment for an action you chose to make. so i donāt really see the difference
hold on iām at work so i cant reply to this all sorry
okay but your personal responsibility logic is bullshit in both cases. obviously charlie kirk didnt choose to get shot, but he promoted harmful violent policies that put other people at risk, he said tens of thousands of avoidable gun deaths each year were worth it to preserve the 2nd amendment. and your sex and pregnancy analogy?? punishing someone for having sex is controlling, wrong and about policing bodies, NOT preventing harm. sex is a natural act that doesnt inherently harm anybody, however murder directly harms someone else and society punishes that to protect other people šš
itās not punishment for having sex?? š
itās taking responsibility for your actions.
and i canāt even respond to the beginning bc i have no idea what ur saying.. how is saying āwe should be allowed to own gunsā promoting violence???
you canāt argue that āmaking abortions illegal doesnāt stop abortions, it stops SAFE abortionsā and then try to ban guns.
it wonāt stop violence nor will it stop ppl from getting guns, it stop law abiding citizens who werenāt going to cause violence in the first place.
and if youre trying to reference school shootings in the violence, that does nothing. if someone REALLY wants to cause harm at a school, theyāll take a knife, or literally any other weapon to cause violence.
it will not stop violence, it will stop other ppl from protecting theirselves.
