Who is actually Blessed? - Ibn Masʿūd

ʿAbdallah b. Masʿūd said,

"Blessed is he whose prayer and worship of Allah are pure; whose heart is not distracted by what his eyes see, who is not made to forget his remembrance of Allah by what his ears hear; and who is not saddened by what someone else has been given."

Ibn al-Qayyim:

“If thinking positively of Allāh motivates a person to strive in righteous deeds & it prompts him, helps him and drives him to do such deeds, then it is sound.
