I Wouldn’t Mind if You Did [Oliver Knight x Reader]

First off, let me start with: HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY LOVELY @otomeduck!! WE’RE IN DIFFERENT TIMEZONES SO IT’S STILL THE EIGHTH HERE BUT ENOUGH OF THAT. I ASKED IF IT GOT COLD WHERE YOU LIVE BUT YOU ENDED UP SAYING NO SO THIS DOESN’T REALLY MATCH BUT IT’S OKAY. We haven’t known each other for long but that doesn’t make the time we talked any less enjoyable. I put this together in a rush, since I didn’t know it was your birthday until the day before, but here’s a small Oliver one-shot I wrote for you! and me

It was a regular chilly night in Cradle as I headed back home to the Black Army headquarters.

And only a few minutes ago, I was having tea at Blanc’s.

I realized that it was much colder on the way back home than when I was on my way to Blanc’s house. Only then did it occur to me that it was because I had left my scarf back there by mistake.

It wasn’t a far trip back so I decided that I would go back to retrieve it, when a very familiar figure started to approach me.

”I can’t believe how brilliantly stupid you are.”

It didn’t take me long to figure out who those snarky words belonged to.

He was taller than me at night and gave off an air of masculinity. It would be easy to recognize who would wear all that green.

“Oliver, I was just on my way back to—“ I began, but he cut me off.

“On your way to get back your scarf, I know.” He says as he thrusts it towards me. “You’re such an airhead.”

I puff my cheeks out, feigning offense as I take it from him, “I beg your pardon?”

He rolls his eyes in response. “All right, get going. Knowing you, you’d probably get lost at night.”

“How rude! I’ll have you know that I’m perfectly fine with directions.” I retort.

“Yes, yes, of course. Now leave. Out of my sight.” He replies.

I sigh and began walking until I heard his voice call out again.

“Hey.”

I turned around to face him. “Yes?”

He looked as if he were about to say something but completely changed his mind. “Don’t come back here.”

“Excuse—“ I began.

“Although… I wouldn’t mind if you did.”

I blink in surprise, not expecting to hear the words that came out of his mouth.

We both stood there, each of us saying nothing.

“Umm…” I started to say.

“Get back home soon, wouldn’t want you to be out too late.” He says quickly.

I reply with “Yes, of course,” not knowing what else to say.

“Well then.” He says and walks off in the opposite direction I was going.

As I watch his figure getting smaller and smaller, I clutch my scarf to my chest and smile giddily to myself as I recall his words.

“Although… I wouldn’t mind if you did.”

I Have A Theory About Oliver

I was thinking about Oliver (like always) and a thought came to me. I’m definitely not the only one who noticed this but I’ll point it out to the people that haven’t.

Oliver appears as a young boy yet also as an adult, but when does this happen?Once I thought about it, I realized something.

He appears as a young boy during the day, but as an adult at night. I’ve only played Fenrir’s route so far, so correct me if I’m wrong, but I put two and two together and that’s what made the most sense to me.

It’s also HIGHLY suggested to the point where it’s basically obvious that Oliver is from the Land of Reason, as evidence is given in these next few images.

Now we have a few more facts:

It’s highly possible that Oliver is from the Land of Reason

If so, it’s suggested that he longs to go back

Oliver does not like being called or treated like a child

The last one may not make any sense right now, but hear me out.

Oliver doesn’t like being treated like a child, so why doesn’t he just stay in his adult form instead? Well, maybe it’s because he can’t. My theory is basically that Oliver is cursed somehow. 

And as MC states, Oliver looks sad as he tells her that he doesn’t understand why MC wouldn’t want to go back home now that she can. So I’m guessing that if he is cursed, he may also be unable to go back to the Land of Reason for whatever explanation. 

It’s just a few observations I made, so I could be wrong, but if you think about it, it kinda makes sense.
