Im a sophomore in high-school, and I'll mainly post about theater (the wifi in the theater is so bad that I can only access tumblr..) and maybe a bit of art and my writing, along with the standard diary entries that come with Tumblr.

I'm always open to chat about anything :p

Oh my gosh there are so many little details I missed in my first million reads of the Outsiders! Here are the ones I noticed today

Steve is tall and lean

They could tell Dally had broken up with Sylvia by the fact he had his ring again- he gave the ring to Sylvia when they were together?! That's adorable and we don't talk about that detail enough

Soda worked at a stable

Mickey Mouse is a buckskin Quarter horse (I'd been imagining him as light grey for some reason)

Darry works out at the gym and goes skiing with friends when he has free time

Steve once fought off 4 Socs with a soda bottle (I can totally see him making this up though)

Two-Bit is a junior (he totally shouts "PONYBOY" whenever he sees him in the halls at school)

Steve works at the DX part-time but Soda works full time

The greasers wear tennis shoes and boots

Reflection

Guys I got my first big role!!! (,,> □<,) / ☆

We just finished auditioning yesterday, and we've already been casted! I can't believe it!

The show is called The Frogs: A Modern Adaptation. It's a Greek play, and honestly has a similar vibe to Percy Jackson with its modern humor. You should be able to find the script online, if you're interested!

But anyways, to preface this, I've been in two shows with the same director last year, the first one I was ensemble, second a very minor character. I think I've just grown on her (there's a story behind this for another time,) but I've also never been horrible at acting. The louder people tend to just overshadow me (her previous stage directors words.)

Anyways, I got Persephone!! She has quite a few lines and is a character I can relate to!!! Aaaaa!!!

On a more selfish note.. a girl who used to be horrible towards me gets to play my servant..! Like that has to be karma, she was so mean to me for months.

Also, the other girl who was gunning for Persephone is really self-centered with a huge ego (im not exaggerating, but no hate towards her obv), and she was crushed when she didn't get her. I don't really know how to feel, because upfront she's kind of nice(?) to me, but on another note..

The boy playing Hades (Persephone's husband) is her crush, and he's really freaked out by her. (She literally stalks him and he has a gf(?) I'm not sure if they're dating yet) He's one of my friend's older brother, so I've talked to him outside of school a few times and hes pretty nice. Other than that, He can be SCARY on stage. I'm probably going to be yelled at ahhh T□T

Anyways! Expect me to be more active now that rehearsals are starting!! (I'm only active on here when I'm part of a theater show, lol...)

Sarah Jacob’s is David Jacob’s Au

Okay, it’s always bothered me that Sarah got cut from the stage play so here’s my solution. Just mix the two Jacob’s together.

Here me out

Sarah Jacob’s who’s the oldest of the family with her one brother Les

Sarah who drops out of school to sell papers and help her family but understands the dangers of being a girl alone on the streets of new York

She does the only reasonable thing, she cuts her hair, stuffs it under a hat, steals some of her fathers old clothes, and introduces herself as “David”

And of course Les who’s obviously going to back his sister up and follow her around during this entire ordeal “to protect her”

The rest of the plot is the same “David” acts the exact same as he does in canon livesies

Except she’s a girl who’s been lying to all of her new (and only) friends this whole time
