Is it bad for me to start doing musical theater without knowing how to sing??

Because like I already did theater in school (in my old school) and I wanted to do musical theater because I think it's really cool, besides that I wanted to take singing lessons next year but maybe and only next year (this year I don't have time)

I'm afraid I won't make any friends and even worse, everyone will know how to sing except me and I'll be embarrassed and everyone will hate me and I won't get any good roles. I HATE MYSELF, what if I'm bad at it?!!!
