When you're already feeling blech and then you do a thing because you've been told it's okay and then you instantly regret it and feel like you always have. Full of anxiety and wishing you'd just kept your stupid opinions and thoughts to yourself because you have nothing good or valuable to say and you just make things worse for everybody and now you're sitting crying and wishing you were fucking dead already because what's the point of you....

Feb 23rd - March st 2026 is National Eating Disorder Awareness (NEDA) Week.

Let’s talk about the fact that even though only 6% of people with eating disorders are in smaller bodies, they seem to be the only depiction of eating disorders in the media and general public.

People in larger bodies continue to be underrepresented which leads to delay in diagnosis and care. Treatment centers continue to have a fatphobia problem as do many of our eating disorder organizations. Our culture praises those who lose weight by any means necessary, even if it means engaging in eating disorder behaviors.

Eliminating weight stigma IS eating disorder prevention.

I'm really trying to not completely shut down when all I want to do is get in bed, turn my phone off and ignore the entire world around me for a couple of weeks.

But other people need stuff and things and I feel too guilty doing that, so I can't.
