Emily was lucky to have such an amazing friend like Sage around. Of course she loved when she was with Cade, but when he wasn’t around it was nice to have a best friend to fall on. Since being in Tulsa Emily has had plenty of best friends, like Serena and Hailey. Some how her friends always seemed to just vanish from her life. She was hoping that this wasn’t the case with Sage. She was too good of a friend and a sweet girl for Emily to want to disappear like that. Emily smiled at her and nodded her head quickly. Emily followed behind her and stumbled a little bit as Sage had pulled her. “Late? Where are we going?” Emily asked excitedly with a smile on her face. She walked beside Sage as the two started down the street. “Working on college work as usual, hanging around the house with Cade, and that’s pretty much been my life. What about yourself? Any juicy Sage secrets you got for me?” she asked as she nudged her playfully with a smile.

As she slowly skipped down the sidewalk with her best friend at her side she thought of who she was and the changes she was going to make. It had been a tough decision she had come to but it was something she knew she had to do. "We're going to the Rolladium! I hope you don't mind but I thought we could use something exciting to do." She smiled at Emily before sighing slightly. "Sage secrets? Not really. But I have come to some conclusion. I've had a lot of time to think and I don't know if I like how I am." She had stopped skipping, her excitement slowly dwindling. "I mean I like how I am towards people but I'm scared someone is going to take advantage of that and just hurt me. Maybe not physically since that can always heal but emotionally. I think I might need to just get a bit more serious with certain things." She thought back to everything that had happened to her before and it only reassured her of her choice.

Emily watched Sage smile even wider. “Great!” she spoke excitedly. She had been waiting for the right time to ask Sage to hang out. She’d just been so busy with school that she never really had any time. “Oh, I love surprises. You got it. Sneakers it is.” she replied to her. Then she nodded her head at Sage’s additional statement. ” Comfortable clothes and sneakers, sounds like we’re gonna have fun. Alright, I’ll be right back!” she replied to her. Emily was smiling as she walked quickly into her room grabbing some comfortable clothes and her favorite sneakers. She walked out of her room and back to Sage. “Better?” she asked her as she spun around.

As she waited for Emily she couldn't help but think back to the beginning of their friendship. They had hit it off, becoming close quicker than most, and she couldn't be happier with the outcome. When she heard the sound of footsteps walking towards her she straightened, smiling as her friend entered the room. "Perfect!" She exclaimed clapping her hands together. Picking her bag off the floor she grabbed Emily's hand, pulling her along. "Come on we don't want to be late." She slipped on her sneakers before pulling the door open, putting her flats in the bag. Walking there would give them time to talk before they wouldn't be able to speak, especially since Sage would be more focused on not falling. "So what have you been up to?" She asked as they stepped outside.

Her smile brightened as the door opened. “Hey lovely.” She replied. She had missed her best friend. Walking in she turned smiling to her friend a small glint in her eyes, leaning against the side of the couch. “Oh it’s alright. So you were only doing laundry right? No...

As Sage got her answer her smile grew. "Great because we're going out!" She squealed lightly. Her excitement continued to grow. "But I can't tell you where we're going but go put on some sneakers." She reached into her bag pulling her own pair of sneakers out. "We're going to have so much fun tonight, now go and put on something comfortable." She made a shooing motion with her hands, the smile on her face showing her excitement.

Emily had been in her laundry room putting some of her dirty clothes into the washer when she heard a knock on the door. She started walking towards the front door when the knock occured again.  ”Coming!” she yelled at the door. She jogged toward it and she smiled at Sage once she opened it. “Hey girl!” she gave her an excited smile. “Come on in. Sorry I didn’t answer when you first knocked, I was putting some clothes into the washer.” Emily told her best friend as they walked into the living room together.

Her smile brightened as the door opened. "Hey lovely." She replied. She had missed her best friend. Walking in she turned smiling to her friend a small glint in her eyes, leaning against the side of the couch. "Oh it's alright. So you were only doing laundry right? No homework or anything?" She hoped her excitement wouldn't give anything away. "Nothing is cooking in the kitchen?" She had begun to bounce her leg a bit, trying to let some of the excitement out.

Waiting outside her friend's house Sage couldn't help but smile. Emily was always there for her and she could not ask for a better friend. She had gotten the idea for a girls night a few minutes ago, after watching a couple episodes of Bewitched. They were going to go rollerskating and just catch up, or at least that is what she planned. She had a few things to tell Emily, but that would have to wait until later on. Knocking on the door once more she went about twirling a piece of her hair a habit she had acquired not too long ago.

Aw thank you. I’m so happy you like them. I thought you’d like the bracelet, and I knew that you would absolutely stunning in that dress. {She smiled as she watched Sage twirl with the dress in front of her.} Looks like I was right about that too. I have to, love. Sage.. it’s absolutely gorgeous. Thank you so much. I love it. It’s perfect. Amazing things come in small packages. {Puts on her necklace and looks down at it with a smile.}
