so the Zoras are referred to as "longtime allies of Hyrule's royal family," and the Darunia refers to the King of Hyrule as his "sworn brother"
i'm not getting at anything specific with this yet i'm just notating it. the war was definitely still going on when link was born and subsequently abandoned, so i'm thinking the war ended at most like 5 years before the start of the child timeline. the zora were definitely allied with hyrule through it, and i could see darunia swearing brotherhood with the king as a result of fighting alongside him in the war.
but i can't help noticing how kaepora gaebora only focuses on what these other peoples do for hyrule, never what hyrule does for them, and still specifically refers to the zora guarding hyrule's water source as being "in service" of hyrule's royal family.
tags on my sheik+zelda art, which i felt was pretty obviously representing them as the same person what with their faces being perfectly mirrored and the triforce symbol glowing on the back of both of their hands. and i don't wanna be a bitch on main so i'm gonna be a bitch here: why isn't zelda allowed to be genderfluid or bi-gender or non-binary?? why does she have to be a cis woman and sheik gets all the transness?? why isn't zelda allowed to be the one who facilitated her own rescue in oot?? why are we so determined to tear all the masculinity out of her and make it its own person?? why can't someone be both feminine and masculine??

i remember when totk came out and people were like "UGH but this screws up the timeline! how could nintendo be so careless about their own lore!!" and i'm like ?? the timeline that isn't supposed to exist ?? the timeline that was just fanon originally ?? the timeline of fucking easter eggs in each of the games that fans were like "wouldn't it be fun if actually this meant that all of the games are connected" ?? that fucking timeline??
