Hi everyone, and welcome back if you've come from instagram. After much deliberations, AnKenJo's second life will be happening on tumblr as a decision to move away from instagram. This change will allow me to post more varied content and hopefully engage more closely with all of you, even if the audience will be smaller. I consider this space my side project to the main Ankenjo wordpress blog. It will feature short-form content similar to insta: movie screencaps, photos, art, but also short texts and translations that would not fit on the main blog.

I hope you will enjoy this new step in developing this project with me after many months of hiatus. Thank you for your support as always!

Richard is a gentle, caring man who is determined to create a place where people can be free of discrimination and judgment. He can be awkward and sarcastic at times, but always because he's trying to help other people at expensive of his own feelings and tries to push people away. He gets incredibly invested in people extremely easily, and massively overpays his only employee and even takes him out of the country when the employee (Seigi) can't stand living at home because of his PTSD. He is a sweet, caring man who canonically is extremely overly affectionate and doesn't know how to dial it back.

The man who nearly fired his employee for accidentally othering a lesbian in his own head. The man who waited 12 hours outside a train station just in case his employee got his feelings hurt so he could comfort him after.

A guy who gave a classmate an international plane ticket just because as a kid. Who cried for hours when his childhood dog died.

Richard is the sweetest, kindest, most awkward man, and he deserves more votes.

alright i am sick of yt to mp4 sites being shady and full of viruses and finding websites that seem to be working and then don't work (looking at you y232 (no hate, just frustrated))

so HERE'S HOW YOU DOWNLOAD YOUTUBE VIDEOS WITH VLC!! VLC FREAKIN RULES!!

get your youtube link

open vlc, go to media > open network stream

paste your url in the box and PRESS PLAY!

wait for the video to open then go to tools > codec information

copy the entire file location (click the box, then ctrl-a to select all, then ctrl-c to copy)

paste into your browser of choice (i use firefox)

right click video and press "save video as", choose your file format if you want

DONE! NO VIRUSES OR SKETCHY STUFF!

the quality might be a little crummy but if you don't mind that, then shabam! video on your computer! then you can email it to yourself and have it on your phone too if you want! if you need a guide with pictures wikihow has you covered my friends

YOU NEED TO UPDATE YOUR YOUTUBE.LUAC FILE FOR THIS TO WORK!!!

Go to here https://github.com/videolan/vlc/blob/master/share/lua/playlist/youtube.lua

Navigate to C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\lua\playlist (or whatever equivalent there is on Mac; if you have a Mac just fish around in the program files you're bound to find it somewhere)

Open youtube.luac with a text editor like Notepad

Delete whatever's in there and replace it with ALL of the stuff with the github file.

Save the file, restart VLC, and then it should work.

As a side note this is all perfectly legal. When sued by google, the French courts (because VLCs parent organization is French) concluded that because Youtube was distributing their videos for free, people had every right to download them for free, and no violation of intellectual property was being committed.
