but tumblr is such an illusion for me, I mean I've picked up this "you guys" model of thought despite the fact that even when I have had actual personal blogs I never really felt like the readers were there, and now with tumblr, they probably really aren't. And anyway, there is a very strong illusion that people are supposed to care about me reblogging a photograph that someone else took and someone else "found".

And before someone jumps on this, no, I'm not dissing tumblr... I love the fact that people talk to their followers and care and look like real people and all that, I just don't have that myself. It goes against everything I learned about caring about strangers on the Internet... when I was a kid it was all about stalking. You get the compliment three years later. "I always liked your blog."
