We should always be dressed well. There are many different interpretations on modesty and we’ll get into that in the future, but dressing well just shows that you care about yourself and appearance. While, we shouldn’t place our worth in how we look because in the Bible it tells us “charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised” (proverbs 31:30) and what this tells me is if I rely my confidence solely on my appearance I am never going to be fully satisfied. That doesn’t mean I shouldn’t look my best because as children of God we are ambassadors of Christ and God can use us at anytime - so we should look our best. But keep in mind that beauty is vain.

If I place my worth in Christ and fully know who I am in Him alone, I will be truly confident and know my worth is from Him. Once you know the God we serve, how much He has done for us, who we are in Christ and the authority we have as children of God, we wouldn’t walk around in anything or present ourselves in any type of way. Our bodies are temples (1 cor. 6:19-20) and as children of God we are to take care of our bodies and present ourselves in the best way possible.
