Ghost Snake Gif Monsters Protecting You Screaming, sobbing, tears streaming Eyes dry with stress, wet with sleep Sitting straight under her past dreaming Unaware of the moment, only the deep Darkness vast consuming Silence, she blinked back the stun Of her realizing in the room being Another presence, not just one "Who are you?!" She croaked But the blackness ne'er did reply Trembling, covers shaking, she chocked "Who are you?!" beginning to cry Out of the inky thickness, a drift Descending from the ceiling and curtains Wisping it's way down, cold and swift Twisting, looping like a serpent Snaking toward her face in the ebony It whispered near her ears While she was paralyzed so helplessly It hissed, "I am your fear." Startled, immobile in the murkiness of night Terrified, but resisting the silence afore "You visit me in my dreams." She replied The smoke continued to circle, create more And filled the entire space with its touch Traveling around her head, it's aura Not physical, but felt just as much In that moment releasing Pandora Upon the girl's mind, and yet she knew That in order to regain peace A conversation would have to ensue So she summoned her strength to increase "Why do you wake me, when I sleep so sound?" She held her breath as the breath replied "So you may live." Its voice all around "There are forces much greater than I" "What forces are there? Why can't I sleep?" Violently quaking from her whole endeavor But the phantom continued its pivoting creep "Without me, child, you would sleep forever" "What does that mean? Do you protect me?" "I protect no one" it hissed. The girl began to weep over this taxing enquiry "Then shall I forever be sleepless?" Pausing, the voice murmured aloud, "When greater darkness pulls you into itself I am the force, your fear, that pulls you back out" The presence gone, the girl questioned herself Perplexed, but somehow at ease She lay her head on it's cradle Better understanding night has no guarantees But maybe it doesn't have to be that stable SE

— Image Shower Thoughts Few things in life are as satisfying as taking that initial step under hot water after you’ve spent the day being chilled. Rewarding vulnerability with warmth and nourishing embrace, rinsing away unwanted tagalongs that decided to mooch a ride. Head back, chest open, allowing the heat and spray to engulf me. Standing under something more powerful than myself, yet it’s gentle, delicate, like the first time you say hello. Eyes closed, concentrating on every drop —the sound, the smell, the feeling. Your sleepy voice rumbles like the water on white porcelain enamel. And just like the overhead rain your low good mornings fill my ears. You laugh like the pitter patter and back splash down by my feet. Our conversations echo, and I can hear you all around me always. I step into you like it’s natures way of bonding energies, by beginning with a fresh start. Your kisses playfully spatter my cheeks like tiny droplets. You embrace me like hot water, and my temperature rises inside. When I’m with you I feel safe, lost in a moment when nothing has to matter. Your love is like being hugged by underground springs. Intensely warm and loud, a force that cannot be silenced or paralleled. You cause me to pause and breathe deeply and be mindful. You were a gift to me the way the rain is a gift to the ground. SE
Spiraling
Spiraling Down I tumble Stomach in knots Tied by Alice in Wonderland As she falls toward heights Not even the Queen of Hearts knows Playful secrets Never peeping a word Written by sadistic clowns And their ruthless games Games you must play Games you can never win Games you remember again and again Sometimes during hide and seek I’ll close my eyes Pretend I’m normal Imagining a life Where I can be fully somewhere Not hidden Imagining a life not spiraling Dizzy with thoughts Once in the game You’re never out How did she see me? When I’m so cleverly hidden How did she know I was playing? That’s right She’s been playing in her life too Spiraling SE
—Image Whisky Lies | Sailor Elliott Poetry He eyed me down as He whispered something, “Ma’am, you look lost” Then put it bluntly. “Sir, I didn’t quite catch that” And I reached out my hand— ‘Cause his words were whirring around My head like a fan. I lost my balance and fell deeper Into my thoughts collapsing Or onto the ground, I’m not sure- Something about relapsing. I just did what the lonely said- “Have another” They were so kind and for the first time We felt together— Or apart, I can’t remember. Spinning, tumbling, lurching, Everything was bleeding, blurring, Oh that’s right— I was searching! Looking for truth in the depths of an ocean, Sacrificing my youth for any possible sign— Until that ocean became a ceramic bowl and I was left face to face with a face that was mine. I saw the agitated bloodshot eyes, Paired well with the color of dinner. I’d tried to stomach so much bullshit that day— Hell, I might even be the winner. Lies taste like rocks, And weigh about the same. You can’t jump into the ocean, And except the waves to be tamed. But that’s what I had done— Relentlessly pursuing my own aversion, Dancing to the tune of self destruction— Anything in the name of diversion. “It’s not my fault, officer” I just hate myself entirely. He shook his head, And watched me lay there, quietly. My master plan had been foiled— There was no escape route to follow. As I lay on the pavement It felt cold, and I felt hollow. Frustrated and lonely, I murmured aloud, “I feel the same as I did this morning” Aching, still flooded with memories, Worthless, but it never servers as a warning. Because I’ll do it again— The next day and the next, Forever at war with my never endings Until numbness finally has its best. SE
Glass Rain
Encase me in glass, So that I look normal But not real. Lay the pieces over My skin like a box, Clear as sin So when I look under The dripping rain, It will stop— Just inches before Reaching my face pit pit pat To represent not being A part of the life I was born, So that I may see what Connection feels like— But not know. Blood is not warm When inside glass, It is cold. SE
Those who are heartless Once cared too much.
I guess you could say they’re heart-lost.
I should probably be doing something better with my time
—But my head hurts because you’re all that’s on my mind
Past Tense
Blindly Loyally Fiercely Jealously Unconditionally I loved you. SE
I can’t even count how many times I whispered, “Don’t ever leave me.” Or how many times you looked in my eyes and promised you never would. My eyes are lonely now. SE
Listen to what this 16-year-old has to say about love: “Love is a sticky cobweb of emotions. You become intertwined with that cobweb and stuck in your hormones and mood swings. You can accept it, choose to sit still, and try not to thrash around too much, but if by chance you ever realize you’re in a cobweb— well, the detangling process is exhausting and it wreaks havoc on the poor spider you fell in love with. Any extra moment upsets them and you’ll never get away clean without any remnants of the web strings. And the spider will surely never forgive you for what you’ve done.”
Pisces I hope you know you’re on my wish list I’d rather call it my list to kiss But what a pity Really quite silly As a fish on a wish to kiss list SE
Image Bite Me I said I wasn’t ready but now I’m wet and covered in hickies He says it’ll take a week before I come down with the bug But this bug bites and doesn’t take no for an answer He wrestles with me until he has his taste He maintains eye contact as I pick my poison I’m either missing you or losing my chance completely I don’t want this but I don’t know how to fight this Every time I fight this I end up bitten Clawing, grunting, biting, dying, we look like animals Primitively dominating each other, competing for the alpha role— Of who hits hardest and gets their way, Whether it be you, the shadows, or the masochist in me. SE
Undue Hush now, baby I didn’t mean to hurt you But you tried to love me, and you don’t know what I’ve been through I had no reason to make you cry It was never my intention I just didn’t know how you and I Could be the way you mentioned Forgive me for the way I’m hurting Because I know it’s hurting you Please understand that I feel empty And it’s hard to see the truth But with a little time and love and patience I could learn to undue Undue the scars Undue the memories That keep me up at night Undue the fear And those high walls That keep me from my life But if you’ll help me to find my pieces Then in your arms I’ll be alright SE
—Image: Hulki Okan Tabak Butterfly Casket I was never a girlfriend to you. I was a casket, Because you crawled into my heart And died there. There you stay— Your lifeless corpse. Why does missing you have to ache so much? Does your soul wander, looking for me? Do you miss me at all? I miss being in love, and feeling the gaze Of someone truly interested. I miss the warm affection And the giddy feelings late at night. And to be honest I didn’t feel that way with you. You made me wonder where all the butterflies went, They never came with you. They always flew away. SE
