OHOHO THERE HE IS.

You really have to hand it to Naoko Takeuchi. It’s pretty damn bold to insert a romance AU of her own manga into her other, related manga. Because there is absolutely no other way to interpret this guy. This is, for all intents and purposes, an AU Kunzite. While Naoko’s earlier art has many, many similar characters, Kunzite’s hair is pretty unique, particularly that bang swoosh. And just in case we are still in denial, she literally named him Kunzite backwards (kun-saito reversed = Saito Kun).

Why did she do this, I wonder? Let’s get to that at the end of the story.

For now, I would like to enjoy not!Kunzite in suspenders, and the hilarity of Mina calling him her prince.
