From the last stay in Paris, there is always something to draw at the Orsay Museum (but it's really cold when you're sitting there for a long time in November....).

From the last stay in Paris, there is always something to draw at the Orsay Museum (but it's really cold when you're sitting there for a long time in November....).
Tutmosis III took longer than usual, but to be fair he is worth at least 4 regular ones!
This is Satis, goddess associated with the Nile. I'm really happy with the water here.
Last week I really struggled to get Sekhmet's red hair more or less right. So I bought another red (and an orange while I was at it), just in time to deal will the lava at Matt's feet and her red hot coals. Ouadjet was fun because these are colors I didn't really get to use before.
I usually work with two minis at a time so that paint can dry on one while I work on the other. This time, the second one was a palm tree, and I had to finish it the next day because Isis was so big that there was always something else to paint on her, no need to wait!
The first minis I painted for Mythic Battles Isfet : Bastet (of course) and the Sphynx.
I probably won't manage Inktober this year. My husband got a new game with loads of minis so I've been painting them with my daughter and there are enough left to keep us busy through the next month and more... Here are Sekhmet and Chesmou.
#mythic battles
I spent three days in Strasbourg (one day for work, two to travel there and come back) so got to draw some at the restaurant and at the Palace of Rohan.
Cat catching a frog. Kawanabe Kyōsai. ca. 1887. MetMuseum.
Love how surprised he looks!
Finally finished my Japan sketchbook based on my pictures from more than 20 years ago (wow, I'm suddenly feeling old...).
Inktober 2024 day 31 "landmark". Happy to be done with it (it started to feel a bit tiring at the middle point, but that is probably due to the fact that I really need to leave out more details...). This is the first year where I didn't skip a day (and catch up after) or do a very basic drawing for at least one day, so I'm pretty proud of that!
Inktober 2024, day 30 (yay, almost there!) : Violin.
This one is for @honmyoseagull whith whom I watched it to start!
Inktober 2024, day 29 "navigator". I thought of Nemo in the recent serie but didn't feel like spending 3h drawing. So an orca was much more manageable!
Inktober 2024, day 28 "jumbo" with a big dragon based on a lizard I saw at the zoo.
Inktober 2024, day 27 "road" in the Shire (started with a bird eye view of the whole Shire with Gandalf in his carriage and quickly decided that I didn't feel like dealing with that much greenery, this is my limit!).
Inktober 2024, day 26 "Camera" with Colin Creevey in action.
Inktober 2024, day 25 "scarecrow" with the meaning "a very badly dressed person", so I present to you : Colombo!
