AU where Riley’s biological family didn’t die in a car accident, and he never lived in the house next to Poppy Hill… He met Cove under different circumstances.

Honestly, at first this wasn’t even an AU, but the original storyline, since Riley was created for a roleplay long before I ever played OLBA. But then he fit so perfectly into Cove’s world that I decided to keep him in Sunset Bird. So instead of being a tragic character, he became a happy one.

I had a vision for what Riley and Cove's wedding would look like. It would definitely be on the beach. Their wedding cake would be decorated with white poppies, because they both love symbolism. I imagined Cove dressed entirely in white, and Riley in a black suit. Their wedding rings would be made of platinum, decorated with waves and stars. Afterward, they’d go on their honeymoon to Venice.
