🌸 Regression Tips 🌸

Here are some tips if your having difficulty regressing / want some new ideas!

✨ To start, wear comfy colourful clothes!!! long socks, pjs and cute slippers anything that makes you feel little! Wrap yourself in your favourite blankie and if you have a pacifier use it too! Get a snack ready and watch some cartoons or a Disney movie! I find watching something really interactive helps 🌟

✨ Try some new hairstyles! two pigtails, braids and space buns! / put some gel in short hair for cool spikes! Look up some tutorials on youtube + use some accessories to make it even cuter!! don’t be afraid to go crazy with them!

✨ Naps, watch your favourite cartoon put some juice / milk in a sippy cup or bottle and go for a nap, when you wake up make your favourite little snack. Guaranteed to make you feel extra small!

✨ Arts & Crafts! use some finger paints to create a masterpiece, do some colouring in!, use play doh, make some slime (supervised! if possible) use play sand anything creative! I buy arts and crafts kits (ages 3-6+) mainly when on sale and super cheap! this could be crafts such as paint your own picture frame, make your own stickers and colour in your own teddy bear etc!

📒 Write down what you did today! Even if it was uneventful and boring, write it down anyways!

🌸 Make a wishlist of whatever you want: stuffies, pacifiers, clothes, books, etc.

💫 Make a list: of your favorite foods, your favorite movies, your favorite shows, etc.

🍼 If you play with dollies or action figures, write out what happens in your games.

🍯 Google writing prompts and write stories based on them!

💕 Decorate your dream play room and write out the details.

📒 Imagine your dream caregiver and describe their characteristics.

🌸 If anything makes you angry, write it all out and say why it upsets you and how you want to fix it.

💫 Write out everything that makes you happy!

🍼 List the names of your stuffies and explain why you named them what you did.

🍯 Google adlibs and write them out and have fun!

💕 Doodle some of your favorite things: plants, planets, animals, etc.

📒 Write out your morning/night time schedule.

🌸 List your dream places you want to go. Trips you want to make. Things you want to see on your trips.

💫 Have a binge movie night and make a checklist of all the movies you want to watch. Check them off as you go!

Age Regression Journal Ideas!

Not long ago I posted a photo of the cover of my regression journal, and a few people were wondering what sorts of things could go in it! 

So, for anyone who wants to make their own, or has one and is looking for inspiration for things to do in it, here are some ideas! 

Writing Prompts: 

✿ If you’re stuck for ideas, a great place to start is to write a little about yourself! What’s your name, favourite nickname, colour, animal? What makes you feel small? 

✿ If you struggle with remembering to look after yourself at all, a self-care checklist can be great! 

✿ Write profiles for your stuffies! You can draw them too, or print photos of them and stick them in! 

✿ Do you play out stories with your stuffies, dolls or other toys? Write them down! 

✿ If you enjoy writing stories, make up a fairy tale! Maybe you and your caregiver (if you have one) could be in it! 

Other Ideas: 

✿ When you get a new stuffie, keep the tag and glue it in! The same goes for cute bits of packaging - cut out bits of them and stick them in too! 

✿ Draw or doodle anything you like! For an idea to get started, how about some kiddie or baby things like pacifiers and building blocks? 

✿ Decorate what you write with stickers! Bonus: use stickers to make a whole scene or picture! Draw in the gaps, or draw first and add stickers after! 

✿ If you have loose colouring pages, stick them in or keep them between the pages of the journal! Some journals have pockets in the back, so you could use that if you like! 

This is just a short list of ideas, there’s loads more you could potentially do! Feel free to add to this if you like!

Having a little with social anxiety means

Having your little look at you with a panicked expression when they’re asked what they would like to order.

Constantly holding your littles hand and rubbing their hand with your thumb to keep them calm in public.

Helping your little make doctors appointments or giving your little pep talks to make doctors appointment because they’re afraid of talking on the phone.

Seeing your little go from bouncy and talkative to shy and quiet the second you leave the house.

Reassuring your little every time they think someone looks at them funny when you’re in public.

Taking the lead in conversations with new people so your little doesn’t have to strain themselves.

Taking long period of time to help your little relax and calm down after being around a lot of people.

Watching your little at social events and looking for queues that they’re in an uncomfortable position or need to leave and be alone.

Being patient with your little and encouraging them and supporting them and being as reassuring as possible. Littles with any kind of anxiety need lots of patience and reassuring, especially when they’re anxiety revolves around other people.
