are you my master? | katarina & giyuu
…She was regarding him with such a confused look. Hadn’t she summoned him? His expression didn’t so much as twitch as he regarded her, his mind a whirlwind of questions. Weren’t most people aware of Servants these days? The information given to him by the Grail told him Servants were basically commonplace…was this young woman truly so out of the loop?
Her attire was somewhat strange too. Though if he had to compare it to anything, it did remind him of the uniform he currently wore. What a strange color though. But when she spoke, it truly sank in that this girl seemed to have no clue what was going on. But there was no one else around, at least, not nearby that he could tell. Given the time of night, most sensible people would likely be in bed.
Except this girl….doing whatever she was currently in the middle of doing. He blinked slowly, then spoke again.
“Saber, Tomioka Giyuu,” he repeated, “are you the one who summoned me?”
Of course she was. She had to be. Though he was sincerely asking her that, even though he should definitely know that the only person around who could have summoned him was this girl before him. What was he supposed to do in this situation? The information the Grail had given him didn’t cover any situation like this.
“…If you summoned me, then you are my Master and I am your Servant. If you have a wish for the Holy Grail, I will fight for you.” That was enough explanation, right? No, of course it wasn’t, but Giyuu wasn’t thinking about that at all. In his mind, that was a perfectly reasonable explanation for all of this. She had called for him, one way or another, right?
“Eh?” Katerina only continued to stare questioningly at the male, hanging onto his every word and mulling over them in her mind. She had no idea what he was going on about summoning or master this and servant that. She raised her head a little bit more, her bright blue eyes looking towards the moon as she pondered some more, as if looking at his face didn’t help her thoughts.
And then as though an epiphany had hit her, Katerina sat up better, her fist slamming into her open palm in an ‘eureka’ moment. She looked back up at the man who had introduced himself repeatedly as Saber Tomioka Giyuu. That was a bit of a mouth full. “I see. I was just thinking this was a two person job but everyone had already gone to bed and I couldn’t possibly trouble Tom or the maid’s! If you’ve got a moment could you help me with this?”
She smiled brightly as she motioned towards the field with the tarp laying over it, covering only half of the field and then towards the large pins laying about her. “Well, I got most of it down but it would certainly go faster with your help!”
