I keep thinking about spinoff daryl and I always end up pushing jesus in there to heal my soul.

I also can't help but imagine what jesus' reaction would be to the couple of new scars daryl has. probably around the lines of "did they throw you into a meat grinder"

Beginning of chapter nine went from "yay, they kissed! 😍" to "oh, dear, they kissed. 😳"

Thankfully, no one is really upset about this, except maybe the ghost of Merle, who is worried about communication breakdown and leaving Daryl (or anyone) behind. Meanwhile, Aaron and Eric (mostly Eric) is like "FINALLY." so hopefully, things go smoothly for everyone. 😄

More Carl post season 9 timeskip!

Since bullets have become a rarity, he now also carries a sword

Spent around 6 months outside with Daryl, to look for his dad after the explosion. Returned to Alexandria to be there for Michonne

Still with Enid. It's long distance, since she still lives at Hilltop

Part of Alexandria's council and shares leadership with Michonne, but usually lets her have the final say

Prefers being outside the walls, where he often functions as a courier between the communities. He loves that this allows him to still see and check up on everyone he loves regularly, even though they're now scattered everywhere

Best buds with Judith of course. He calls her Jude. They usually stay in touch via walkie-talkies when he's outside, but if he's going on a shorter trip (and it doesn't interfere with school), Carl occasionally lets her tag along

RJ adores him and is super clingy with him. Carl carries him around everywhere whenever he's home - he picks him up as soon as he steps through the gates and doesn't put him down until it's time to leave again

It's also around this time that I wonder if I should start posting, but I'm still trying to figure out a title and summary and how I'm going to draw people into the fic because the slash doesn't come in until later. Hrm...

Note to self: if you intend to post your fic, you need to finish previous chapters before writing anything else...but alas, I'm jumping between chapters because that's how my brain is working right now. Urgh.

Currently at 18,000 words and eight chapters. Unfortunately, we're only about halfway through the Negan Era, so there's still a lot to get through, even if we're deviating a bit from the Canon!verse. And there's a previous chapter that needs finishing before moving forward. And I have absolutely no idea where the sexy times is going to come into play; alas and woe, they haven't even kissed yet. ._.

But beyond finishing the fic, I still need to figure out a title and a summary, two things that I'm terrible at. It'll come to me eventually...
