In 2013, an 8-year-old boy in Australia was taken to the hospital after suffering from unexplained high levels of lead in his body for two years. A large number of lead pellets were discovered in his body. The family reported that they often ate geese that had been killed with a shotgun and he boy confessed to playing a game with his siblings in which they would eat the lead pellets to make them disappear. 57 pellets were discovered.
