I knew I was going to have a good time with My Romance Scammer, but it was even more fun than I anticipated.

The JuniorMarkJi chemistry is at an all time high, and I love getting to see a primary couple who have already been dating (or "dating" in Tim's case) for a while before the main story kicks off.

We get very little from Tim's perspective to start, so I love the "reveal" (which we all knew already) followed by him panicking when he walks in to Pai not wearing pants. It so succinctly shows how screwed he already is.

Also the TimPai makeouts are fucking hot.

OhmPoon are an incredible pairing, it just works. Major props to whoever pitched putting them together.

I like that they don't patronize the audience by overly spelling out how Tim and Yu are using manipulation, but you can see for yourself exactly what they're doing (and how good they are at it). Like the way that obviously Yu was never actually lost and taking advantage of the situation to make North bond with him, but they didn't feel compelled to show him looking at a map and chuckling or something, which a lot of shows would do these days.

Although it's also fucking hilarious that Yu was just aiming for a rich boyfie (are rich people that into hiking?) and overshot his way to a billionaire husband.

I really love the dimension already given to Pai and North's relationship, and how they are more siblings than cousins. North always feels inadequate compared to Pai's competency, but then Pai suffers more from family obligation, while North gets to be the spoiled baby. I'm actually really interested to see how their relationship develops, especially as they both come to understand how they've been played, and will need to support one another in dealing with some of that fallout.
