uhh im not op or anything so im not sure if this is exactly how they made the brush but as a fellow krita user i can try to give an idea of how to kind of achieve this effect! (btw im on my phone so i cant take screenshots i only have preexisting ones from my wips)

so first, pick any brush you wish to edit and then click on the button encircled in RED here

there should be a menu that pops up that lets you edit the brush's characteristics. on the side, there will be a checkbox next to "hue" so make sure to check that and play around with your settings.

lastly the button encircled in GREEN is where you can pick your main color and secondary color so krita knows what colors to shift through while you're using your brush.
