The Saint Louis world’s fair is set to return to Forest Park. The Louisiana Purchase Exposition was an old name for the Saint Louis World’s Fair of 1904, was the last awesome worldwide super festival before World War I.

Slambo: The Card Game

St. Louis has another star in the making, the new card game called Slambo is set to overtake old traditional card games like Uno or Skipbo.  The designer put together a rockin’ package with rapid turns that offer much more excitement to players. Adults and kids alike seem to like the game, it offers more decisions, and consecutive card playing in every turn than most games.  It’s great to have another stellar production come straight from Saint Louis, especially in a genre that is youthful and of light nature, like Voltron, designed here so long ago!

St. Louis’ own original stoner rock band has just put out another spectacular album!  These guys have surmounted the core of the genre, and truly stand out among heavy hitters.  Even the online legendary stoner rock reviewer “Stoned Meadow of Doom” have endorsed them as “gnarly rockers”, which is most certainly true.

Egypt exhibition!

 Classicist Franck Goddio and his group of submerged archeologists rediscoverd Thonis-Heracleion 1,000 years after the fact, four miles off the bank of present-day Egypt. The old city of Thonis-Heracleion was Egypt's primary Mediterranean port from 664 to 332 BC, or around 100 years longer than the nation of America has existed. It was a flourishing, worldwide city — and after that a string of catastrophic events wiped it off the guide. 30 feet underneath the surface of the ocean, its monster statues of divine beings, pharaohs and custom creatures resting in the vestiges of a world long gone. Cardinals on Point

Riverfront Times is saying that the St. Louis Cardinals and the Washington Nationals are being thought of as similar to each other. Both teams hover “around .500, both are about six games back and neither has played up to its own desires this year.” The Nationals still have Bryce Harper on the program, and the Cardinals are still driven by Yadier Molina. Hopefully the Cards will turn things around and storm into the playoffs - they have what it takes, and show it year after year. While the playoffs are typically hot and heated, we have all hopes they will make their way into the final ranks!!
