"There is a delightful beetle known as the Namib Desert Beetle. It has a interesting way to survive on little to no rain or water sources. It lives in the Namib Desert, hence it's name, where it only rains 1cm a year. A very tough life for any creature but this beetle can harvest moisture from the air itself. When the occasional fog rolls over the desert the beetle catches the minute water droplets in the air on it's back and let it naturally roll down to it's mouth. A possible inspiration we can take from nature to help us survive in even the most arid climates."
"My mother is a much better oracle then me. I see multitudes and the infinite space that is time, I see everything at once. I gauge the futures and see what is most likely to happen. Like predicting where each rain drop will fall. I use the spirits and my own gifted intuition to navigate this trouble. A useful skill and treasured but my mom needs no tricks. She summons not the storm but a single drop from the ocean. She sees not the fog of infinitum but the singular string of fate plucked from the golden fields of the weaver. The only benefit I have over my mother is thanks to my fathers gifts. I can see everything including gods. She would have to take special care and techniques to even glimpse their future. For me they are but regular people in my eyes. Their futures are as easily seeable as any mortal."

"Unimportant? I'm afraid I'll have to disagree, and we shall see if I manage to show you the reason for it before it gets glimpsed," Anika's words came confident, but they also carried the softness born of a gentle smile. Modesty who came from people of power tended to reveal good hearts. She couldn't hope to find any better, especially if she was to tell about more personal events.
"It is fine... Liberty. I haven't heard much but rumors, especially about your capabilities. If you trust me enough to share more about what led you to your present, it'll be up to you to decide; all I can say is that I'd be honored to know." She was familiar enough with this kind of matter, but she preferred not to pry - especially now, since they had just met. For that reason, she quickly moved back to the main subject, leaving her the space to distract herself with her story or consider the chances privately.
"My story tends to get tangled easily with those of... opponents. Sometimes they stay enemies, sometimes they become family; the case I'm concerned with sees both statements being true so far. An... ancestor of mine," her voice flickered on the definition, as if she refrained from using another one, "was wronged by the goddess that blessed us centuries ago, and has been planning on a grand revenge that opens the way to darker entities. Our homelands may be destroyed because of her fury, and too many people I care about are at high risk in the frontline for this. Henriette included."
"A powerful future-seeing entity shrouds the possibilities that involve her even to the most expert eye, but mine is free from the fog. I understand that saving everyone on my path may be too much of a utopia to realize, but I hope that knowing the chances may make my hand more steady in the present. Does that make sense?"
Liberty listened to the tale with some intrigue. Ancient feuds and present problems fumbled into one issue. She nodded her head in understanding. The ornaments in her dreads jingling to the shifting of weight on her chair. "Indeed I understand the need for clarity in matters regarding our choices may inadvertently increase our odds of success. Sometimes just knowing you have made the decent choice is enough to steel your mind and make the picking at a certain string of fate more reasonable." "Clairvoyance is a powerful asset and many attempt to hide themselves from the prying eyes of others. There has yet to be a set of strings that the Tshabalala eyes can not see. We have been seers, prophets, and shamans for a long time. Common folk, Kings, and even gods have been watched." Liberty grabbed at one of her dreads feeling around it for a particular ornament. A small rat skull with with one black gem in it's eye. She holds it out for the other to take. "Take this a blessed ornament by my mother. A scout. The rat travels the fields of consciousness and guide me to what you desire. As you hold it remember your past. How this ancestor has affected you give them form and shape. Think of what you desires. She will guide us."
She waves a small flag around. "Happy pride month." She is waving around a Brazil flag.
"My mothers side is equally as interesting as my father. Although people tend to ask more about the giant divine blessed soldier then the smaller seer. We have many powerful ancestor left behind by history and the dying breath of oral tradition. I cannot pretend I was very interested in them as a child or any of my mothers story. But as I learned to see my own past I could see how it shapes us all. Even those before us have led to me and my future, just as I will lead to others future."
//Oh now that someone has asked me for future i now realize i will have to message people which is fun. I want to have the fortunes be fun and specific. I could give generic stuff like oh you'll come into some misfortune or youll come into some friends but thats lame :( I want us all to have fun with it and remember she sees all possible futures so it doesnt have to be one that comes true just a bit of fun <3

A quiet breath suggested a smile blooming on the lips of the woman, accepting the invite and taking place on the indicated chair.
"Somewhat far, I have to admit it, but not enough to discourage me. Furthermore, my experience taught me that people with the gift of foresight tend to favor interesting turns of events no matter what... I couldn't miss the chance."
She straightened her back and rested a leg on the other, lightly leaning against the support. There were a few seconds of silence, probably dedicated to discreet observation before delivering a proper answer. "If that's what you look for..." the tone was softer, and maybe carried a hint of surprise. Melancholy, too? Could it be? "My name is Anika Fuhe. My bloodline carries stories and legends aplenty, and I happen to keep its name high regardless of my will. May I know who I have the pleasure to speak to?"
@saintofthestreets
Oh how interesting. A family of legend? She would be interested to hear of such a family sometime. This person seemed nice enough for now that it did not warrant prying. She leaned back in her chair. Taking in the air and the company. "Who you speak to is unimportant for the future but a simple nexus. My real name might be a little difficult for those that are not from my homeland. So I go by Liberty Wallace." "If you heard my other name i must apologize for the likely butcher. A hard to pronounce name for a hard to believe power. Something passed down from my mother. A curse and then a blessing. I suppose I have my own family tree to talk about." She waved a hand in front of her face catching herself rambling again. She had a tendency to do that. New people meant new faces she could tell many stories but they were not here for that. "Excuse me for my ramblings. You came here not for the story of another but for your own story. A story of what can be and what is to be."
Liberty has inherited a portion of her father's gifts. Her father had divine power and Liberty now carries a fraction of that. This manifested in different ways for each of the 3 siblings. For Liberty it was weaker. She took more after her mother. She really only received a few things.
The first is Liberty will never stop growing. As tall as she is she will only get taller. Her hair grows faster. Her wounds heals somewhat faster.
The second is a divine artifact. Her father's armor. She was told it was forged by a great smith with a name she could never pronounce in a language only her father ever spoke that she knew of. The armor boosts her abilities and power substantially but also boost any curses or pain she suffers as well.
The last thing is a spark that within her. She has never known what it does or what it really is but she was told it is a key. She still has no idea what its a key too or how she's supposed to use it if its more like an energy then a physical thing. All its ever done is be recognized by other perceptive people.
Her siblings are more in tune with their fathers gifts then herself. Especially her younger sister. Her brother is the middle child and the middle of this too. He has gifts from both father and mother he uses.
"What does it take to get your future told?" A quiet, respectful voice approached. While the most sensitive people may be able to perceive two presences, the set of footsteps coming closer was a single one. @undyingmedium
Liberty's place of business was not really a store front as a front porch. She had always found the idea of crystal balls and shaking tables and fancy hand movements overdone. She required none of that. So when she heard the voice for the first time she was sitting in a chair on on her porch. A smile graced her face as she 'looked' at the stranger. Her blindfold today was a light blue and her common clothing may have deceived those expecting something more grandiose. "A future told? You have come far? I hope not too far to simply meet me. The price would be fair I think. A story for a story. The past for the future. The past is the path to the future after all." She gestured to the chair next to her. @undyingmedium
