That guy has rats, you can't change my mind.
It all started when two of the boys (Nachi and Jabu ? Probably.) went to a pet store for some cat food and found out they had rats.
They spotted a naked one and Jabu thought it was gross.
"It kinda reminds me of Ichi tho."
"We should offer it to him !"
They took the worst small cage they could find. Also bought the usual stuff, food and all. And went back home.
"You look alike ! TROLOLOL"
Jokes on them: it is his child now.
That guy is scouring the entire internet for information.
With the little pal mounching on an apple on his lap.
He soon realises that he must buy a bigger cage.
And most importantly, his son needs several friends !
"What the hell is that birdcage doing here ??"
During weeks, Ichi looks for rats to adopt. Even removing some of them from bad owners.
The naked little guy has now three brothers.
Eventually, within months/years, other rats will be added to the family. Sometimes even babies !
Every one of them have names, they have all they need in their cage, they are deeply loved and throughout the years, a little cemetary was created in a calm corner of the garden.
Ichi grew a whole passion for rats, even becoming a host family in partnership with the village veterinary for tiny patients in need of extra care.
