It’s been an emotional week. I wanted to share this encounter I had with a very hateful man on the Pittsburgh bus because it reminds me that there are brave people in this world. Let’s all do everything we can to stand up for each other.
Doctor Strange was such a good movie. I need - NEED - to draw fanart for it. All I have is my phone though, can’t wait to get home and draw on paper or my computer.

Thoughts and ideas about the next Ghostbusters film. This is a fanmade idea of a script that I think could be a better movie than the reboot that´s hitting theaters this year. Comments and opinions are welcome!
Watching the new trailer for the reboot of the Ghostbusters I came with an idea for a Ghostbusters movie that´s actually connected with the previous films. What if instead of doing a reboot of the franchise, do a movie about a new group of young ghostbusters that want to become like the ghostbusters legends.
My idea is basically a group of four man and woman studying in college in New York. The four of them have problems paying their college tuition since they couldn´t get a scholarship. One of them has the idea of doing a small ghostbusters service built in his/her garage. The other three aren´t convinced, but knowing recent ghost apparitions happened recently, they see a chance and start doing their own ghostbusters enterprise. So, by this time there should be various ghostbusters organizations already running in the whole country, maybe in all the world. There could be a more efficient and popular ghostbusters agency that doesn´t do well with competition and try to push back the service of the four kids. Seeing them as a threat, rather than an actual ghost-busters, cause their very young and inexperienced.
The group of students have a difficult time cause the competition is very strong and don´t take their jobs very serious. So, in order to improve their technique, ask a real professional, that´s right, Dan Aykroyd as Ray Stantz, who is now the “secretary of paranormal affairs” or something related to paranormal activity in the government. At first he doesn´t listen to the new kids who he thinks, are another ghostbuster club that wants to do some money and are not really interested in investigate the paranormal world.
But the young group come again asking for his help, as recent paranormal events (part of the plot i will explain) seems to be happening more often and cannot be solved by traditional ghostbusters methods (proton packs and ghost traps).
About the plot: The new ghostbusters group should approach the ghost menace in a different and unique way as there are already a lot of ghost hunters groups. Following the events that happened in the second movie, the kids find out in order to really eradicate a ghost you have to “change their souls” in other words, to transform the negative energy into positive one and in some way “exorcise” the ghost. The kids discover actual ghost busting methods are actually making that more and more ghosts come to the city, as the rage and bad feelings of the ghosts still goes around.
In this case the character of Dan Aykroyd should be something between a cameo and a secondary character, like the people in the government in the first movie. Ray now represents the institution who doesn´t agree with the ghostbusters group but finally realize what´s happening and changes his mind and help the young ghostbusters, mostly because, he remembers how he was mocked at the city hall too.
About the menace: Every ghostbusters film brings a new paranormal menace/ villain that the team needs to confront. In this new ghostbusters film it could be as simple as an old theater that is breeding ghosts, almost like the alien queen in Alien 2, or, like i would like to see, the ghosts of the 9/11 victims. I know It could sound very cheesy and maybe over the top, but I think it could be a good way of talking about the way the 9/11 victims are remembered and kinda talk about the feelings of the people involved in the attacks. What I think could be a good plot for this movie is having a rich company boss, who lost his father in the attacks and dedicates to construction and renewal of the metropolitan area of New York. The movie starts with the launch of a new project in the memorial area of the 9/11. A new and bigger memorial site dedicated to the victims of the attacks; told by the rich entrepreneur: “A way of remembering the victims of this atrocity and asking for their forgiveness” In order to connect the other characters to the plot, the city major and the company hires the new popular and institutionalized ghostbusters team to ensure there´s not going to be any paranormal incidents during the construction. This ghostbusters presents a new weapon developed by their lab that ensures will destroy any ghost in a 10km radio. What they don´t know is this weapon is going to be the cause of an increment in ghost apparitions.
So the new ghostbusters group/club/whatever try to inform everybody about this menace, but is to late, a rush of 9/11 ghost victims attack the city and the big final fight starts. In the final part the young ghostbusters and Ray come to scene with their weapon that can transform negative energy in positive by some way of talking to the ghosts and “changing their souls” (yeah as cheesy as it sounds)
This can be an opportunity to present a new way of approaching to ghosts and their world, like a suit that can transport you into the ghost dimension, or some laser that extracts the true form of the ghost, the soul of the dead people in order to “purify” it. Again, this would be a more esoteric movie.
At the end, in the middle of the fight the rich boss/ villain encounters with the spirit of his dead father in the form of a creepy ghost. The ghost attacks him but it´s stopped by one of the new ghostbusters who literally “speaks” with the ghost and convince it of going away. He/She would say something like: “your son forgives you” or “you don´t have to be here anymore” you know, something that relaxes the ghost and gets into the actual spirit of the deceased father that understands is dead and the spirit is free.
After an epic fight with ghosts the movie has a kind of happy ending with everybody changing their attitude towards ghosts in the progress of the movie. The secretary Stantz is now convinced ghosts are not just something that can be eliminated, the rich villain feels different about the way he was mourning his dead father and the new ghostbusters continue their lives in college but now knowing they want to become the real ghostbusters....
So this is my idea for a new ghostbusters film. I´m not that kind of a fan of the franchise but is a film i consider to be very good, very funny and very innovative. I did this to express the way i feel about the 2016 Ghostbusters reboot that i consider, shouldn´t be made on the first place.
