Seeing Gen at his most brilliant, solving things he could not solve alone, or at least not this quickly, there's no way this doesn't leave a strong impression.
And I can't quite put into words why but I feel like something about their relationship shifts during the treasure island arc and of course on the voyage after. By the time they're in America the trust they have in each other is even stronger than before. It's not really different from what it was, they've always seemed to be able to read each other's mind when it was important, but there's a kind of elevated pride and trust in the face of new levels of danger and fear.

Thank you very much! The staff were clapping for me. Iām really happy that my radio program is popular. Iāve always wanted to try this kind of work. This program will have 8 broadcasts. Itās amazing they even gave me 8 episodes!
There will also be special guests coming for talks so look forward to that! But as to who is coming, that is still a secret! I also donāt know either, but it will be fun! As this is the first episode, I thought I would talk about myself and things people might want to know about me.
First up is the introductory corner! My name is written in all small letters, m-o-n-a, mona! Is it easy to remember? If itās okay, please remember my name at least! I hope youāve listened to (watashi idol sengen). I wrote this songās lyrics based on my feelings when I first became an idol. I was so nervous at my first concert, my head turned blank. I couldnāt sing how I wanted to. It was embarrassing, but there were times I managed to calm down. But after that, because there were many people who helped me, and many fans who cheered me on, I was able to work my hardest up to now. In the end, I really like standing on stage and this song reminds me of that. It is a very important song. Iāve become a little teary eyed.
I like all the parts in the song, but I particularly like the part when we say ākita!!ā (ę„ć!!) It feels good to say it with all my might. Everyone too, please do give it a listen! If youāve already listened to it, listen to it as many times over again!
That brings back a lot of memories. I used to love idols, and would attend their lives, buy merchandise and listen to their CDs. I never dreamt that I would be standing on a stage of my own. I was shocked when the president scouted me and let me debut. That was the day that changed my life forever and made my heart pound. From then on, it was toughā¦ It would be nice to be able to tell that story another time. I have may more things I want to introduce and talk about but what should I talk about I wonderā¦ What do people want to know about me? About my school? My home life? Or my private life? This time, I thought Iād talk about my job as an idol as the theme.Ā
Of all the jobs I've done since I've been debuting, the most memorable has to be the live shows. Even though Iāve performed many times now, the first time is still memorable to me. I mentioned it a bit during my self-introduction too. I was nervous, my legs were shaking, I was thinking āwhat do I do, what do I do?ā and sweating a bunch. I couldnāt even hear the song properly and my tempo was super off. Even now when I see the recording of that concert, I get so embarrassed that I hide inside my futon. But I will never let myself forget the feelings of that day. I pull out that DVD, put on my headphones, make my room dark, and wear a parka or hoodie. I make all those preparations to watch it secretly.
When I was telling this story to the staff earlier, they told me āmona that sounds like youāre about to watch a horror movieā and laughed a lot. But compared to watching a horror movie, I was way more scared at this concert. But I have more confidence in myself now. I think Iāve matured a little since then. Iāll continue to do so too!

Updates/Notes on future chapters
Iām delaying Chapter 7 & 8, although nearly done, so I can start making my own take on Chapter 2. While Chp. 2 is available in some random manga reading sites, itās not on mangadex so I might make my own instead of waiting for someone to upload the other fanmade chapter.
I have raws for until Chapter 20 right now, but another reason for the delay is that I lost my raws of Chapters 12-16. I must have deleted them by accident while cleaning up my computer qwq so instead of translating stuff iām back to collecting raws qwq
Wasnāt planning to translate all current chapters, but then I saw that Kobayashi is in the newest chapter so I am now motivated to translate as much as I can >:DD
