i really enjoy how maomao is always curious and isn’t afraid to test out poisons. truly a girlie in STEM!! i love how she gets excited over ingredients, new or old!

the way she learns is amazing too, like when she was solving the double suicide case. when her father taught her that water can help with diluted poisons, she learns and retains the information quickly.

i also love how she’s capable of solving things that aren’t necessarily related to her area of expertise

for example, during the shrine arc, she’s able to figure out the door puzzle. granted, she figured this out using her knowledge in genetics but it doesn’t directly relate to poisons or medicine.

it’s very prominent in the manga that her problem solving skills are excellent and she clearly got it from her foster father, her bio father, and her bio mother haha

she’s also very caring towards her friends like when she taught xiaolan how to read. she is also happy to share her snacks that she receives with her. their little shopping moment when the caravans showed up was so cute <3

her friendship with shisui is also hella cute i love how they bond over their interests together!! slightly different (bugs and poisons), but still so wholesome nevertheless
