Kintsugi is the art of decorating your scars with pieces of Agni.

In the Fire Nation, the amount of golden marks are a sign of status. Only the Royal Family can afford to seal every single wound with Kintsugi. Such is the weight of this tradition that, among the ones with Agni's blood, it is the highest mark of dishonor to have a natural scar, for it proves you aren't worthy of the privilege.

After the Agni Kai, Ozai forbid Zuko's scar to be sealed with Kintsugi. The boy wasn't worth his title, his traditions or his pride. Zuko would be broken, but he wouldn't be beautiful. Not anymore.

I dated this guy whose was so sweet and gentle with me, I couldn’t believe I was finally getting the treatment I knew I deserved. 6 months of heaven was my free trial I guess. One day he came in and said I was no more attractive for nor enjoyable but hey let’s stay friends! I told him to fuck off and all and then cried so much that I almost threw up. One day he called and said my friends were rude to him at the club e he didn’t deserve this e told me to do something. After months of therapy I decided to forgive him and myself (for letting this situation to drag me down so bad) just to discover that now he despises me for some reason and he is the real victim of everything.
