Sally has a small habit of fiddling with his prosthetic eye when he’s in his room, alone. Pops it in and out then continues to do whatever it was he was doing.

“Roger that.” Madotsuki stepped off the switch and followed after, facing backward, her finger over the trigger of her super soaker, covering him. when he looked back, she was right close to him, back to back. her grin from seconds ago was gone - she was completely and utterly serious.

He takes his eyes off her and continues up the staircase. When at the top he turns around and puts the books down and offers a hand to her.

“Thank you for your help, Madotsuki.”

she sat calmly, playing a flute. She didn’t seem at all bothered by his lateness.

“Its okay. as long as you’re unharmed. would you like me to help carry them?”

“No, it’s fine. Just make sure Nothings following us or anything. There’s nothing down here but, just to be sure.” He says, looking back then heading for the staircase, arms clinging to the books as tight as he can.

He then looks back to Madotsuki to make sure she’s alright and near.

“well i’m here now!” she trots over, brushes the stone off and sits down.

“if they really are necronmicons, they’ll each be quite heavy… and might trigger traps or something. so don’t rush unless you need to.”

“We’ll see. See you in a sec.” Sally’s now dashing through the gate and taking his lefts and rights before grabbing a book down and staying still to test the trap theory. Nothing. But, Madotsuki was right. They were heavy.

He carries at least two back within 10 minutes.

“I’m late.”

She followed after him, like Alice down the rabbit hole, but much firmer in step. her English accented, though she did try her very best to keep her ‘r’s from turning to ‘l’s and vice versa. its been a while since she’s spoken English formally.

“I am not afraid; what lurks down there is no match for what i have constructed in my own imagination…” she realized what that sounded like, and added

“Western Demonology is very distinct from Eastern; any problems i might encounter are taken care of with this; holy water.” she pulls out an ordinary super soaker, painted pastels, with black sharpie crosses drawn all over that. because you have to be cute while facing demons.

“God, I wish you were around when we first came. We could have used some holy water.” Once out of the elevator he leads to the extra room and then lifts the floor hatch up, bounding down the staircase.

Once in the large underground ‘dungeon’ type place he leads her toward the stone and gestures to it before letting her go. “ I’ll run so I’ll be much faster.”

He began to lead her inside of his apartment building then to the elevator, as they entered he places his keycard into the slot to take them to the basement.

“All I need you to do is stand on a stone. And I’ll be back in 5 minutes tops.”
