2/100 days of productivity ā 02.04.20
Feeling quite under the weather today. I'm praying that it's not you-know-what, because I have a sore throat. I did some Latin this morning and started reading The Plague by Albert Camus. I ended the day with some creative personal writing. I also took some breaks to play ACNH. Hopefully this will pass and I'll feel better in a few days.

I just want to go out there and start living in a cottage in a forest but alas, I have to study the political currents and events that resulted in WW2.

Donāt confuse my hatred of the hyperwealthy for jealousy over what they have. I donāt want a six figure sports car, or a 40 room mansion, or a gold leaf truffle wagyu steak dinner. I want redistribution of wealth that allows for infrastructural support of all citizensā basic survival needs.

economists really took the divine right of kings and turned it into billionaire CEOs
āitās kinda fucked up to reject the business practices of jeff bezos when he rightfully earned his position under capitalismā
āAbout twenty years ago, I attended a lecture by a Harvard professor who talked about how corporations operate like modern-day kingdoms. At one time, she said, people believed kings ruled by divine right, and today we seem to believe the same thing about corporations. Toward the end, she asked, āDo you know what it is that allowed people to let go of, overcome, and reject the notion of the divine right of kings?ā I held my breath and got ready to take some notes. Her answer: āThey just stopped believing in it.ā
