Final presentation!
How do you address loneliness without people having to admit that they’re lonely?
Many of you here will be in a living situation where you can’t have pets, and you wish you could have a wee friend of your own. Universities organise “Stress-Free” pet visits, but what do you do when you need them outside of exam time? Wüf is here to help people meet other humans who have animals, and connect people within a community. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who is lonely, even though people don’t like to admit that they are feeling isolated. Wüf disguises a solution for making friends as something that appeals to the widely experienced love of cute animals.
The journey for our audience starts possibly at any point. Here’s situation one: You see our posters on the street; we have made posters that are relatable to anyone who loves pets! You are intrigued and see the website address: Wüf.com. Visiting the website will tell you about Wüf and upcoming events. After visiting, you see that your friend Jebediah has signed up too! You sign up as well, to get notified so you can go to the events, meet people and pet animals. Situation 2: You find out about an event from your friend, and end up attending with them. Balloons given out at these events will be attached to dogs, saying Wüf. Which is very cute! And will get people to Snapchat, Tweet or post photos on Facebook! The event will be a facilitator to spread our brand. You see the various branding and stalls that leads you to posters that connect you to the website, and you sign up for future updates.
Wüf follows the Five Ways to Wellbeing. It connects humans to animals, and also to other humans, to make them feel good from the inside. It helps people take notice, of others and their needs, and of our own by being around other people. It urges us to keep learning, about our mental health and things we can do to help us be healthier. It facilitates people to give, be it allowing others to look after their animal or their time to help other people’s animals. Finally, it gets people to be active, doing things outside the house and being a part of their community.

Tim said that he enjoyed how the illustrations made anyone able to put themselves into the poster. He said that he thought the captions should come from the person in the poster rather than from a disembodied Wüf. Making some posters from the viewpoint of the person who enjoys absurdist humour (somewhat milennial, but do not to exclude anyone else who enjoys). It would be nice to continue this illustration and halftone effect throughout the rest of our pieces.

Posters for Tuesday!
I enjoyed the flat vector image style paired with a tagline. I was inspired by one of the shirts and the animal noises in different languages project. Who doesn’t love funny sounding words?
I like this one the best!
Tonight I started by thinking about fonts, getting inspiration and seeing how that informed what I could make. I looked through the open google fonts for ideas since I want stuff that’s free and legit.
