Okay one last post for today - now that Elementalists have finally finished I can now start randomly writing a potential Elementalists x Bloodbound fanfic. Wherein Kamilla becomes a professor at Penderghast.

I don't know how I'm going to do it, but I definitely want to write a scene wherein Amy (Bloodbound MC) talks with Alma about the nature of vampires and the implications of blood magic's effect on vampires.

Since we now know that temporarily bringing something to life through blood magic is possible through the animation spell. My theory is that the trees in Bloodbound (I forgot what they are called but you know the tree that is responsible for making vampires in Bloodbound) function similarly but in a more permanent way. For context in the Elementalists (3rd book) if you have enough diamonds, Atlas will teach you the animation spell which is a combination of Wood magic and Blood magic. Wood magic is aligned with healing and Blood magic is to give it life. But it only lasts temporarily because the object is still an object.

But apply that principle to someone who is still alive but human/Tuneless? It might be this same principle which leads to the first generation of vampires.

And this will definitely be something that a lot of the Elementalists characters will want to research about.
