“ maybe, occasionally, i might’ve found ways to bring you up in conversations. but you’re brag worthy & quite possibly the best thing in my life right now, other than joey. so, how about we save the showing off for after we’re married & enjoy the little bit of alone time we have now ? ”
“Okay, beautiful. You and Joey are the best things in my life too, I mean we have the evenings to spend time alone, I think once a week we should have a big family dinner with each of our families, like, mine on wednesday’s and go see your family and eat dinner with them on a Sunday. I love your family, I don’t want them to think that because I’m back you’ll never be seen. Same with my family, I don’t want them to think I’ve forgotten about them.”

“Maybe you should have said that. Yeah, I could probably watch her then. I think you’re over-exaggerating.” Grayson said as he shook his head. “Not to too long ago actually. Neither do I. I was just asking though.”
“I’m sorry. You think I’m over exaggerating, you serious. I’ve been deployed since I was nineteen years old, I’ve been stressing over my life and career since I was twenty two and I’m not even joking when I say that.” He said smiling. “Oh, really. Anyone I’d know?” He asked.
graysonmurray:
“Yes, I actually do love her enough to do that. But I actually have somewhere to be today. I don’t exactly have time to do it. Do you think my parents could do it? I believe it is my right to know if you’re going to be having sexy time instead of sleeping.”
“No, i don’t mean right now, but maybe tomorrow. Look, I need sleep, I haven’t slept properly since 2011.” He said smiling. “When was the last time you had sexy time? I mean, l don’t always schedule my sex times.”

“Hmm, do I love my brother enough to let you two sleep so I have to watch her? Depends are you actually going to sleep?”
“Do you love your niece enough to chill out with her? That’s nothing to do with you.” He laughed. “I just want to sleep, what we do after is not to do with this situation.”

“It’s loads of fun. That doesn’t sound fun though. If only could just do something other than all that work. You deserve a break you know?”
“I mean, yeah, but then I’d come back and the house would be a shitwhole, the kids will moan about having to cook dinner and the school board will moan about not getting the paperwork. If only the break could come to me.”

“Are you saying you’ve never bragged about having a fiance in the marines? I’m offended. Hey I can’t help the fact that you’re freaking beautiful and I want to show everyone what I have, which they don’t.”

“How so?” Payson asked, trying her best to change the subject. She really didn’t want to tell anyone about what was happening to her, mostly because she was scared that one of her family members would be hurt, or that it would just get worse. “I wish you could, but I don’t think it’d be possible.”
“Because they never really tell me if they’re upset. I am trained though, I know when they’re lying to me. I know when anyone lies to me, so don’t forget that.” He said listening to the small girl, he was really protective. “Is it a boy? Is he making fun of you, I’ll kick his butt, I swear.”

“You know the one thing I love about the weekend is that I don’t have to wake up at the crack of dawn to go school. I get to actually sleep in fro a change. I actually just might sleep till noon after staying up late tonight.”
“I wish I had that luxury. Fancy babysitting your niece so me and your brother could get some sleep?”

Payson let out a small sigh, putting on the most real and convincing looking smile that she could. “I already told you, I’m fine.” She said, although that was a complete lie. Over the past two weeks Payson had changed quite a lot, going from her normal talkative and bubbly self to extremely shy and quite.
“You’re worst than some of the soldiers in my company P. Come on, sis. What’s up? Wanna tell me? I promise not to tell your family, if you need me to kick someone's ass for you just let me know.”

“great! i love parties, i like getting dressed up. oh yeah. i understand that. it must be a scary thing for him. but aren’t you home for awhile now?”
“I don’t know about a party just yet to be honest, I’m sure we will eventually, but to celebrate the engagement, not the anniversary. Yeah, I’ll be home for a bit now.”

“No I don’t think so, you should always want to celebrate happiness right? Just do it! We can have a big party and everything”.
“of course, yeah, party sounds good to me, but nate is a bit wary of being a couple which celebrates every milestone, although we didn’t have a proper engagement party, because I was deployed.”

“I’ve been deployed for a year so we haven’t really had time. Definitely not having second thoughts, I love him just as much now as I did when we first met.”

‘ people say they can take constructive criticism but when you give it to them, they get offended and go to great lengths to try and defend themselves. those people i consider fake and it gives me great pleasure when i get to call them out on it. ’

“ between the two of us ? no.. but, if you’re thinking about a party i’m obligated to stop you right there. we cannot become one of those obnoxious couples that celebrates every little milestone. ”
“Damn it. I was really hoping I’d have an excuse to show you off to everyone again.” He said smiling. “We just have to wait until the wedding for me to be able to parade you around the town.” He smirked.

“Oh. I feel like you guys should celebrate it, then. I mean, it might not be something lots of people do, but it’s probably more special for you guys since you were gone and you’re back now and all that,” Aya suggested. “Mm, very true. You guys are definitely weird.”
“Yeah that’s what I was thinking too, it’s definitely really special for us as a family especially because I wasn’t around for my daughter in her first year.” He said. “I wish I was still young, being an adult is boring.”

Never been in a relationship and never celebrated an anniversary of any kind, but if you’re in love,” she paused, struggling to keep her features from twisting into a look of disgust before continuing, “you should celebrate. Are you asking because you need gift ideas?”
“I mean, I get you. Not necessarily gift ideas because I’ve already got him a gift, but do we have a party or what?”
