Happy wednesday, you guys. Work and life have quickly and excitingly picked up over the past week or so and I am definitely a busy bee at the moment. I haven’t fully unpacked from my trip down to the bay area last month and I have an embarrassing amount of dishes in my sink, but I’m feeling so good. Hi from northern california! 👋🏼 Currently car-less in the bay area, waiting for that bad boy to finish up in the shop. (take a look a few posts back to see what happened right before thanksgiving!) Cotton candy skies on interstate five. 🎆 (traveling to the bay area for thanksgiving with @dallaswintercohen was quite the adventure! We broke down in the middle of nowhere. After a few hours and our family on speaker phone, we were able to get the car started and moving at 50 mph. Nothing higher, nothing lower, or the engine died! We made it home safely. 🙌🏼) (at Interstate 5)

Happy thanksgiving ♥️ I super briefly touched on this over on twitter the other day, but I am feeling more grateful this year than ever. Over the past few years, I have been working towards my career while battling with mental illness- and seeing my hard work pay off towards both of these things is something that I am immensely grateful for. If you are struggling with mental illness, I have written a little blurb below from a talk that I listened to recently from the lovely @haleyjakobson 📝 take a look because she said this so well, “the thing about mental illness and depression, is that it will convince you that there is no balance in this world. That things are only unfair and deeply sad and troubling. If you can begin to embrace that this is a part of the illness, then you can begin to ask yourself if you would like to get the help you need so that you don’t have to feel that way anymore. Because there IS balance in this world. And when your brain and body come into balance, you are able to fully perceive that there is darkness and there is light as well. You deserve to feel better.
