فنان الوسائط المتعددة سامح الطويل، بقلم الناقدة فاطمة علي، الكتاب عبارة عن دراسة نقدية مونوغراف تستعرض مسيرة الفنان سامح الطويل منذ بداياته في القاهرة مروراً بهجرته إلى ألمانيا وحتى الآن. يسلط الكتاب الضوء على التغيرات الجيوسياسية والاجتماعية وتأثيرها على فنه، متناولًا أعماله متعددة الوسائط بين التشكيل والتصوير إلى الوسائط الرقمية الحديثة كالذكاء الاصطناعي والواقع المعزز. بفلسفة عميقة، يُحلل الكتاب مفاهيم الحرية والهوية، متتبعًا كيفية تعبير الفنان عن قضايا عصره مثل الحروب والهجرة والعبودية الحديثة. دراسة رائدة في نوعها في العالم العربي، تقدم منظورًا فريدًا عن استخدام الفن كأداة للنقد الاجتماعي.

عن الناقدة فاطمة علي: ناقدة مصرية بارزة، عملت كناقدة ومدير تحرير في مجلات مرموقة. شغلت مناصب هامة وشاركت في العديد من لجان تحكيم كبرى المعارض الفنية. عملت كقوميسير الفن المصري المعاصر في دبي 2007، وتجمع في مسيرتها بين النقد العميق والدراسات الفنية المحلية والدولية، اشتُهرت بأسلوبها النقدي المميز وكشفها عن خفايا الفن بطريقة فريدة. حازت على جائزة الدولة التشجيعية في النقد التشكيلي عام 2009، وأصدرت العديد من الكتب النقدية الهامة، منها كتابها عن فنان مصر الكبير حامد ندا، كما قامت بتأليف كتاب نقدي عن الرؤية الفلسفية لأعمال المصور المعاصر سمير فؤاد. استعدوا لاكتشاف كيف يروي الفن قصص الحروب والهجرة بتجربة بصرية مدهشة!

Multimedia Artist Sameh Al Tawil: The Monograph

The book is a critical monograph that reviews the career of multimedia artist Sameh El-Tawil, from his beginnings in Cairo, through his migration to Germany, and up to the present day. The book highlights the geopolitical and social changes and their influence on his art, discussing his multimedia works that range from visual art and photography to modern digital media such as artificial intelligence and augmented reality. With deep philosophy, the book analyzes concepts of freedom and identity, tracing how the artist expresses contemporary issues like wars, migration, and modern slavery. This pioneering study in the Arab world offers a unique perspective on using art as a tool for social critique.

About the Critic Fatma Ali:

Fatma Ali is a prominent Egyptian critic who has worked as a critic and managing editor in prestigious magazines. She has held significant positions and participated in many jury panels of major art exhibitions. She served as the curator for contemporary Egyptian art in Dubai in 2007. Her career combines profound criticism with local and international art studies. She is known for her distinctive critical style and her ability to reveal the hidden layers of art in a unique way. She won the State Incentive Award in Plastic Art Criticism in 2009 and has published several important critical books, including her work on the great Egyptian artist Hamed Nada. She also authored a critical book on the philosophical vision in the works of contemporary photographer Samir Fouad. The artist is playing live piano sounds that are developed for a 2D/3D visual responses these produce when analysed in real time using OSC/MIDI transmission software developed originally for this performance. The Universe runs counter-clockwise as well God commands us to cycle counterclockwise (Tawaaf) ! Does this mean that walking clockwise is an obstinacy of the universe or disbelief in Allah ? Does our destinies control us or we decide from where and to where to go? " Clockwise " is a short film written , directed and produced by the Egyptian artist / Sameh Al Tawil 2014. In this film the artist poses philosophical questions in 6 minutes which is the duration of the film , using a cinematic language relies on Physical expressions and hard-cuts; away from direct dialogues … In his film; Sameh Al Tawil decided to exclude colors with all the implications of space and time to become a ( black and white ) Modern film; Black and White adds also more depth to the film and gives a realistic flavor to an abstract film . “CLOCKWISE” film has more than 20 actors, Staring , Muhammad Shafiq and Alaa Shaban Director of Photography : Sharif al-Husseini , Cameraman: Ahmed Fikri , Editor: Mohamed Eid , Music : Esmat Wageeh, And others .
