Some useful stats on what the job market's like right now...
Happy Friday, everyone!
Our London office is just down the road from the Tower of London, so every so often we nip down at lunchtime to look at the progress of the poppies installation. Beautiful...
If these ring true of your last interview, you’re probably not getting the job offer.
An interesting blog, although never try to second guess the outcome of an interview. Sometimes an interview can be cut short because the interviewer meets you and makes up their mind that you are the right person for the job more quickly than they had anticipated. Always speak to your consultant and let them know how the interview went as soon as possible. And bear in mind that employers generally see at least 3 candidates for each job, and interviews aren't always on the same day, so it is common to wait a few days for feedback. A delay in feedback does NOT mean you haven't got the job... it just means they have to see everyone before they can say who they have chosen.

When ACAS gets it wrong, who gets it right?
We do!
The other day, we spotted a mistake in the ACAS Guidance on the AWR. We reported it to the Recruitment & Employment Confederation's Legal Team, and now they are on the case, helping ACAS to provide correct information to UK businesses and consumers.
As a rule, ACAS Guidance is incredibly useful, however the fact that even theycan get things wrong in the area of recruitment and employment legislation reminds us all how complex it can be, and why it is so important to ensure you are dealing with experts who are prepared to challenge misinformation and champion best practice recruitment.
If you would like more information about how The Sammons Group can support your organisation in staying compliant and getting things right, visit www.sammons.co.uk or email [email protected]

The Sammons Group are delighted to announce that we passed our Recruitment & Employment Confederation Compliance Test with flying colours.
The test is designed to ensure that members understand, and comply with, legislative and best practice requirements when providing recruitment services.
Being the perfectionists that we are, we are a bit miffed to have been one question short of 100%, so we're off to revise the small print around recruitment advertising!
