i am still setting it up but i have moved roman and naomi. please follow them on their new blogs! @samoan-sass @feeltheglcw
So far it was going pretty great he thought, hoping that it’d stay like this for the rest of the night. Just hearing his laugh was enough to make him start laughing too, thinking his teammates spying on them in the most ridiculous places imaginable. “Especially ‘E, he thinks he can hide real well but we can always find him.” Xavier added, eyes locked on the man in front of him until he mentioned the menu. “Oh right, yeah I heard this place was pretty gre..god dammit I heard that from Kofi.”
His eyes rolled at remembering the thought, realizing that they had been planning this for almost a month or so in advance. “I bet those two are going to brag about being matchmakers for the next couple of months now. It’s just what they need, to add that to their list of ‘talents’.”
“Anyways, we could still play twenty questions.” He shrugged, intrigued at the idea more or less. “’Cause even though we see each other all the time there are things we don’t know a lot of, could be a nice..ice breaker I guess?”
For some reason, Roman wasn’t surprised by the idea that Xavier’s teammates had planned ahead rather extensively, if Xavier’s reaction was anything to go by. If anyone would invest needless time and energy setting them up on a blind date (because Roman would’ve agreed to go on a date with Xavier), it would be Kofi and Big E.
“Don’t worry, if they start tooting their own horns too much, I’ll make sure to let them know that I liked you before this,” Roman remarked with a cheeky grin, dropping a wink to make it teasing. He was being serious about it, a confession in itself, but if Xavier wanted to believe it was a joke, he was more than willing to let him.
Roman nodded, expression shifting to something thoughtful as he looked over the menu. A waiter appeared to ask them what they wanted to drink, leaving them to figure out what food they wanted, and Roman finally spoke. “Favorite Pokemon?” Eyebrows arched, glancing at Xavier over the edge of his menu.
Lip curling in a sneer that would have fit better on Seth’s face than Roman’s, an expression that mean, mocking, without humor. Part of him was upset that he hadn’t won the match, but it was lost in the maelstrom of emotions that threatened to overwhelm him. He couldn’t even feel the sting of his pride over the pang of betrayal – and the welling fury, barely contained, probably visible in his body language, the look in his eyes. “Shut the hell up, Rollins. I saw that shit. And I watched the footage. I always knew you were Dean’s bitch,” Roman spat, shoving at Seth’s chest. Roman had been an inconvenience. An obstacle to deal with so Seth and Dean could fight each other, because who the hell cared about Roman Reigns? Obviously not his former brothers. Faint satisfaction for the thought. Former brothers. Battleground had opened his eyes to things he’d put so much effort into overlooking and ignoring, and he finally saw. Fingers curling into fists to try and combat the tremors running down his arms, shaking his hands. Edges of his vision blurring and he couldn’t think of a reason to even try to restrain himself.
“Dean’s bitch???”
His voice rising in pitch as disbelief and fury hit him square in the chest. Looking incredulously up at his former teammate like he’d just grown a second head. The shove had him taking a step back, but he soon ate up that distance with two paces forward.
“I never have been and never will be his bitch! If you’re looking for someone to blame here, blame Ambrose. Weren’t you the one trying to get him under heel for the past two years, huh?”
All but snarling in Roman’s face as he jabbed his finger into the centre of his broad chest.
“You were the one trying to make Dean your bitch. What happened out there? That was you getting what was coming to you. The idea that you could tame Dean Ambrose is laughable. If you’ll kindly remember, it was me who held his leash back in The Shield.”
Seth was pushing his luck and he knew it. But this was what he wanted. Make the Big Dog lose his cool. Make him lash out at a man who was still held in high regard by Stephanie McMahon. Already walking on thin ice after his suspension. It wouldn’t take much more to push him through and make him drown.
Roman growled, low and threatening and animalistic. "He just looked at you and you were tripping over yourself." A downright baffled look at the accusation thrown back in his face, cutting through the rage for just a brief moment.
"I have bent over backwards for Dean!" Had forgiven Dean over and over. Had spent his thirtieth birthday making sure Dean got his title shot. What really pissed him off, though, was the suggestion that Seth and Roman were the same in any way, but especially when it came to Dean.
Grabbing Seth's hand in one of his, applying enough pressure to snap that finger prodding him in the chest.
"That's what I get for caring. For being stupid enough to think that my brothers saw me as anything more than a stepping stone. So don't spout shit at me, you spineless--" Gritting his teeth, grinding his teeth, and leaning in so close Seth's breath could he felt hitting his face, the same face flushed and twisted in fury.
Roman spat in Seth's face, releasing his hand, stepping forward to the point their chests bumped against each other. "You that scared of me? Gotta hide behind Dean? Gotta provoke me so you don't have to get in the ring with me?" he shouted, teeth snapping audibly. "You must want to be put back on the shelf. Only reason I can think of. Unless you're that stupid. You know what I can do."
Breathing erratic, pacing back and forth in front of Seth, head canted to the side to keep his eyes on him even though his gaze wasn't very focused. "You want me to beat your ass? I will. You deserve it, you whiny, ungrateful--" Lashing out, now, a right hand meant to make contact with Seth's face in a slap, a blow that was meant to make him feel like a bitch more than actually hurt him.

Lips twisting into a frown that was almost a pout, though his lower lip had yet to jut out far enough to appear properly childish -- unseen by his brother, who had already fallen back asleep. Snores so loud Roman almost suspected that they were feigned, earning a huff and a few useless prods to Joe’s chest.
And . . . nothing.
Which was why Roman reluctantly got up, made breakfast and piled one plate with food, taking it back to Joe’s room with a smug air to him. (Joe’s breakfast was in the microwave, but he didn’t plan on telling Joe right away.)
Sitting on the bed, nudging Joe with a foot as he started eating. “You sure are lazy.”
❛ JERKS SHOULD FEEL LIKE JERKS. ❜ But her expression remained cheeky, tone playful. ❛ But if you need to maintain your cool, loner guy mystique, I guess I can play along with it. Fair enough? ❜
A mock-offended expression for her remark, as if that was one of the worse things he’d been called when they both knew it wasn’t. “I mean, you ever wanna get some beers, I can waiver the cool guy clause. ‘Sides, you got enough heat on your own,” teasing, as evident in the curl of his lips.
@thenvturegirl, continued from ( x )
“Well now I feel like a jerk. Thanks for that.” A chuckle. “I gotta keep it cool, yanno? Can’t let people know I’m going around making friends backstage. Would ruin the one versus all image.”
“Good, because I’m not looking to talk.” Angry could not even begin to describe the chaos inside Roman’s head, growing with every single moment spent recalling what had happened the night prior. He expected shit like that from Seth. Not Dean. Not anymore. Looked like he was right to believe that he was only ever a filler in the Shield, someone Dean and Seth could use to climb to the top. They’d stepped before, but never like that. Not together. After everything he’d done for Dean, he just sided with Rollins. Part of him wasn’t even surprised. Angry that it had been ignored when it protested the blind loyalty Roman had given Dean without question, only to be proven right. Cracking his knuckles and stepping closer, drawn up to his full height and jaw clenched. “Or can you not fight me unless you got a partner?”
He was a smart man. Seth should have seen this coming. But really, he’d barely put any thought towards Roman at all. Every waking moment was hounded by thoughts of the title. Of Dean. Of Dean and the title. How it fit across his shoulder like it was meant to be there in a way he feared hadn’t been the same for him.
Seth had been so sure that he was going to win. That there could be no doubt he was the greatest member of the Shield. That he was coming oh so very close to being the greatest wrestler of all time.
But it hadn’t happened like that.
He’d lost.
Not before teaming up with Ambrose though. Just one last ride for old times sake he supposed. But that wasn’t quite right either. He remembered exactly how it had gone. Exhausted, trying to catch his breath and watching as Dean had approached. Eye contact locked and then… He was following his lead as if the last couple of years hadn’t happened. Dean had a plan and Seth was there to make sure it went on without a hitch.
Roman had been the target and they’d taken him out. Together.
“He’s not my fucking partner! And I don’t know if you noticed, but we went right back to kicking the shit out of each other once you were out of the way. Tactically it was the smart thing to do.”

“Unless you’re here to tell me I have a title match on Raw tonight, I don’t want to talk to you.”

Roman spam…because suspension is over❣️
Leakee had no idea how Mox had managed to get into this party – it wasn’t exactly a closed invitation, but it wasn’t the kind of crackhead gathering that was more Mox’s speed. No, it was a real party, full of teenagers hanging out to look cool and pretend they were having a good time.
Except maybe it wasn’t that surprising, considering that the guy who’d thrown the party was known to be into harder stuff. On the football team but free from any worry of being drug tested – coaches knew at that point who would pass and who would fail and administered them accordingly, if at all, because the record of wins and losses on the field was more important than the integrity of the team.
The real mystery was why Mox decided that he’d be up Leakee’s ass the entire time. He’d already succeeded in cock-blocking Leakee, scaring off the guy he’d been flirting with, and now there was … this. He knew how it looked, too, hoped that no one got the wrong idea about it all. Mox hanging off of Lea like they were friends when they were far from it, giving what he assumed were meant to be kisses like they had a thing.
But of course, the broken soundtrack of insults that always spilled from Mox’s stupid mouth didn’t stop – Leakee was starting to think that he couldn’t stop talking shit. Would explain why he said things to guys twice his size that he knew would get his ass kicked.
“What?” Mox’s voice had faded a bit, Leakee’s attention elsewhere, but hearing that word caught his attention. An incredulous laugh, pulling out his phone even as he nudged Mox’s side with an elbow. “Say it again,” Leakee ordered, a shit-eating grin on his face.
He’d think about it later, once the high he’d been savoring wore off and the taste of whatever ritzy cologne Leakee wore to hide his bad personality could be tasted in the back of his throat. He’d think about each kiss that lasted a fraction too long and how warm bronzed skin was when he was pressed so near. Waiting for later to come, however, allotted more time to dive down a rabbit hole Jon had no business near. No place to be biting back and grin while he chuckled, legs wobbly and insisting he stand that much closer… insisting he nestle his forehead against a broad shoulder as the request order was delivered.
SAY IT AGAIN
He might not’ve wanted to, but with his bottom lip caught by teeth and a swivel in his stance, the brief but incriminating confession was voiced once more. I love you. Drawn out and louder than the time prior, punctuated by what might’ve been a sloppy kiss if it landed somewhere besides Leakee’s jaw. If it was less teeth and more… meaningful. More than pressed laughter against a pulse as his posture sagged and arms meant to be draped over shoulders moved down to hips instead. Thumbs in belt loops, tugging…
“Said I love y’ ya stupid piece’a shit…” still slurred, as uneven as his thoughts and more lost than the sense that said it was time to leave over an hour ago. Mouth working steadily upward, purchasing claims at the corner of the other’s mouth before breaths dragged and legs begged to give out beneath him. The result, thin arms dangling from around a deceptively strong neck before a set on the kitchen floor brought opportunity from snake an embrace around Leakee’s legs instead. Keep him close while peppering kisses over jean-clad thighs.
He didn’t love him. Hadn’t ever thought to attempt as much, either, and whatever voice made a reach to remind him as much was snuffed by desperate whispers to the contrary. A mantra half-sobbed and growing louder.
Oh, this was pure gold. Mox had always been contrary for the sake of it, difficult because that was the best way to get attention (which Leakee understood more than he’d ever care to admit), but Leakee’s order was obeyed, those words that had caught him off guard moments prior repeated. It seemed that once enough drugs and alcohol were in Mox, he was much more agreeable.
And, even though he knew the confession was absolute bullshit, it was still an unnecessary stroke of his ego.
Phone’d been used to record Mox’s words, the smaller male’s speech slurred and a bit garbled but still coherent. Front camera capturing the way Mox kept mouthing at Leakee’s face, the same tongue that spat slurs now laving over skin like Mox was an overexcited dog. Teeth dragging over flesh in a way that excited Lea more than he’d ever admit to himself, let alone voice aloud, reason why he stopped recording once he’d gotten the words he’d been looking for.
“You’re slobbering all over me,” Leakee remarked, nose crinkling as if disgusted by it – and he was, a little bit, because he had no idea where Mox’s mouth had been, but that part of him always craving affection was far more pleased. He watched as Mox lowered himself to the floor, breaking into a cruel, wolfish grin as he switched to the back camera and started recording again.
Fingers of his free hand twisting in Mox’s hair, dirty and unkempt but the perfect length for grasping in a tight, inconsiderate fist. “What, you gonna suck my dick too?” Taunting now. “You get on your knees for faggots often?” Throwing back that word used by Mox with more than a little satisfaction.
Not bothering with any sort of sublety, figuring there was no need to hide the fact that he was recording Mox because Mox seemed too far gone to notice, let alone care.

A month apart hadn’t been a bad thing after everything that’d happened. Kept his head level and his attention focused on the immediate threat. Had made everything easier to stomach as it was said. Not lies, he wasn’t Seth… but Dean’d known they’d be bitter pills upon delivery. He’d known Roman would struggle with them and he’d seen enough anger, enough hurt, in his eyes to understand he’d struck the right cord. Kept his phone silence and that was supposed to work. He was supposed to feel—perhaps not BETTER, but at least—something aside from that disappointment when he’d heard his name called.
The company might’ve done well enough to hide it from prying eyes, but Dean knew he was there. Stashed away somewhere in the back… kept out of sight but always on so many minds it was impossible to avoid him. Had been impossible, at least. Now? Now was less a matter of intentions and more a reminder that the only luck he had was of the bad variety.
One knock—silence. A second…
“Look, there ain’t no point playin’ hide-n-seek, I know you’re in there, uce…” Confident enough with that statement, he’d turned the handle. Confident enough that he’d not needed to check before entering, walking in with a vein of blind faith with eyes narrowed for the darkness. “‘m thinkin’ we oughta talk.”
@samoan-sass needs to give me love tbh
It’d been eating at Roman – and the time off certainly didn’t help, because, even when he was working out, the thoughts crept into the back of his mind. Wondering when, exactly, Dean had decided that Roman was dead weight. It created a vague sense of nostalgia, reminiscent of the Shield, when Dean would have thrown Roman under the bus in a heartbeat if there was even a chance of benefitting from it.
Not to say that Roman wouldn’t have done the same thing.
But things had changed. They had changed, he'd thought. Knew for certain that Roman himself would cling to their brotherhood, the only thing that he had left, the one thing Seth hadn't managed to take from him . . . As was the case more often than not with Dean, though, it seemed that Roman's feelings were unreciprocated. There was a certain understanding between them, but Roman'd thought that they at least shared that bond of friendship, of brotherhood, of family.
Not that Roman would let it go that easily. Countless times before Dean had tried pushing him away or cutting ties, but Roman had pressed the issue and they'd come out still -- whatever it was that they could have been called. After Battleground, though. It could wait until after Battleground.
Roman had forgotten that the universe liked to fuck up his plans. The draft had certainly served as a sharp reminder of that fact.
He wasn't supposed to be there; for all intents and purposes, he wasn't there, the reason he hadn't gone to find Dean. To try and find the words for what he needed to say while he still could. Reason why he was sitting in the dark, perched on the edge of a locker room bench and elbows resting on his knees. Reason he didn't react to the knock on the door, hoping the silence would be enough to deter whoever it was from coming in. Hearing Dean's voice made his brow crinkle, gaze flicking up just as the door was open, taking in the figure standing in the doorway and hating himself for that irrational twinge of happiness in his chest, that urge to let his eyes light up for seeing the guy he considered closer than family.
Expression kept reserved, because he knew the lightswitch was right next to Dean, waiting to be flipped, to illuminate the locker room and Roman's features for them to be scrutinized. Picked apart like Dean always did, looking for dishonesty or betrayal or a lie where there wasn't one to be found.
"Right. Talk." A scoff, hand scrubbing his face. He had decided on waiting until after Battleground but only after a week spent sending texts and calling, hanging up right as the voicemail kicked in. "What, jealous you're not with Seth?" There was the faintest hint of bitterness in his voice, to match the tightness of his mouth.
