It is genuinely insane how if you are a woman men will just assume that you are stupid rather than that they don’t understand what you are saying. I deadass had a man today explain to me what ‘strawmanning’ is in the middle of a debate we were having about data he was misinterpreting in my field of study.

This would be insane to do generally however this guy also knew that i professionally coach an urban debate league. Like get a several thousand dollar stipend to coach these kids. And im so good at my job we made it to nationals this year!! This guy KNEW this about me and still assumed “oh hold on this chick probably doesn’t know what the strawman fallacy is” i genuinely don’t understand where they get the audacity “uhh thats just one man you can’t generalize a whole group from one guy” this is literally constantly happening. All the time. Also im not publishing it in an academic journal, im venting to my gay little photography account ugh

Every day brings its own battles and its own tests, but as believers, we remain patient. Allah reminds us in the Qur'an:

"Indeed, with hardship comes ease. Indeed, with hardship comes ease." [Surah Ash-Sharh 94 ; 5-6]

This world was never meant to be free from trials. We will be tested with our health, our wealth, our families, our children, and our livelihoods. These tests are not a sign that Allah ﷻ has abandoned us; they are opportunities to draw closer to Him and to raise our ranks.

Every pain we endure, every hardship we face, and every struggle we overcome is known to Allah. While we are being tested, we are also being gifted-with patience, with strength, with forgiveness of sins, and with rewards that only He knows.

Remain steadfast, trust in Allah's plan, and never lose hope.

Victory belongs to those who are patient, and every hardship carries with it the promise of ease. Alhamdulillah in every circumstance.
