"c'mere, you look cute." he patted on the seat next to him.
you looked at him sitting across from you, "nuh uh, not after you did this to me." you glared at him as you reached for the tissue to wipe off the ice cream he smeared on your cheek.
he shook his head and pulled the tissue box out of your reach, "sit next to me." he said.
"why?"
"just because."
"just because why?"
he let out an exasperated sigh before getting up and sitting down next to you, your eyes followed him as he did.
he kissed you on the cheek, right where the icecream was, sneakily licking it off.
"oh my god." was all you could say before hiding your face in your hands.
"your ring look nice. is that new?" he commented as he slid his cup of icecream towards himself and all that was going through your mind was the absolute audacity of this man.
"you're insane." you mumbled, taking his cup away from him, "insanely annoying."
he snickered, letting you have it.
"am i?"
you glanced at his face, the playfulness of his tone reminding you to an instance before you were dating, something you couldn't quite put your finger on, a strange sense of deja vu.
"very much so." you replied after giving him a small kiss on the corner of his lips, making him smile.

you hummed along to the tune, layers of blankets protecting you from the cold. you slurped the instant ramen from the bowl and hoped it'd help with your fever.
"you're still sick?" light finally spoke from behind the couch. you slightly flinched at his sudden but expected appearance. you slowly turned to look at him clearly.
"m'not sick." you denied as you shook your head. light cocked his head to the side, "you're not sick?" he repeated in disbelief, he should've expected your stubbornness.
when you nodded your head he couldn't help but chuckle, "you're ridiculous." he said before walking into the kitchen.
your eyes followed his steps as he made his way back from the recently popular destination, the vile medicine cabinet with substances that make everything taste like bitter garbage.
"no." you said making him abruptly stop in front of you, a glass of water and tablets in either hand. he was staring at you, probably planning some wretched scheme to make you take the medicineโ he leaned in and kissed your forehead.
"what the fuck are yo-"
"i'm just checking your temperature. you're still sick." he commented, weirdly nonchalant. "will you take the medicine or do you want me to reenact another trope?" he asked, a twinkle of amusement in his eyes.
you begrudgingly agreed as much as you wanted to not take it, another gesture from this man will make you even more lovesick that no medicine could cure you.
"listen, [name]." kenma starts with all the seriousness of a professional gamer as he switches on the tv to connect two separate controllers to it. "this will be the bet to end all the bets we've ever had." you, on the other hand, raise an eyebrow, too settled in one of your boyfriend's oversized hoodies to (eloquently) give a shit, hugging your purrim-chan plushie close to your chest as mario cart starts on the screen.
"here." kenma hands you a controller, you nodding as you cross your legs on the couch and place purrim-chan on your lap. "now, the bet is- whoever wins gets one favour from the loser." you roll your eyes at that bet, since you've been losing since time immemorial- there's never been a time you've won. except that one time kuroo distracted kenma for long enough for you to win- but that's not really a win, in your most liegely opinion.
"i've been losing in this game since before i met you," you grouch before sitting up a little straighter and starting the game, watching as kenma ignores every single power up to head straight to the finish line, as always. "best 2 out of 3?" he grins, and before your stupid head can say something stupid about wanting to kiss him because he looks so cute, you roll your eyes once again.
"no thank you. i don't want to keep losing to you even after several billion-trillion-gazillion powerups." kenma pouts, his evil plan clearly thwarted, and you lean to kiss and nibble his shoulder as he jumps with the pain. "anyway, what would the favour be, considering i've already lost?"
"boo, you're no fun," kenma responds as he idlly switches characters. "how about a kiss?" you frown, raising an eyebrow with some confusion. "i literally just kissed you, kenma." kenma looks at you with an expression in his eyes you can't quite read.
"no, i meant an actual kiss. lips and all." you stare at kenma, waiting for him to elaborate as he turns a very light shade of pink and looks away. "i mean, we don't have to if you don't want to! it's just that... i thought it would be okay, i think. maybe."
you drop the confused and shocked act as you nod and laugh, kenma biting the inside of his glare with a half-hearted glare directed at you. "okay. you win one game, i'll kiss you. and it'll be a good, proper, kiss." if you hear kenma cheer a little under his breath, you don't comment on it.
