Salutation!
I've created a blogspot to focus my blog entries. It will include both personal and "intern" related posts - check it out!

so, lately I've been working a lot. and by a lot, I mean, I've only had 2 days to myself in the last 2 weeks - luckily for my manager, I don't mind working TOO much, especially when I get free staff meal and complimentary coffee whenever I please.
Although, I'll be honest with you, '6:30am me' aren't my finest moments and for those cold, dark 6:30am mornings, as I make my way from central station to 61 Albion St Surry Hills, The Fixators' Wide Awake EP has kept me company and has worked as a pick me up, better than a strong skim flat white.
They're a lovely group of sydney boys, creating original indie rock tunes. I had the pleasure to meet them a few weeks back at a small gig and their live performance was incredible - it was exactly that. performed live. So definitely check them out and download their EP for free.
P.S. For any existing Fixator fans out there, I will be having a cheeky interview with the boys or maybe just Tim (nothing's been really decided) about their music and fashion - so stay tuned for that!

Morning e'rybody! I walk pass all these cute terraces when I go to work and it makes me weirdly happy. Especially when the sun is shining like this! Although, I had a 6:30am start this morning so the streets are still dark but the welcoming doors of Reuben Hills with the lovely coffee aroma totally makes up for it. Also, it has come to a point where my crappy iPhone connects to the wifi at work automatically but doesn't at home; and I read somewhere 'home is where your phone connects to the wifi automatically'... - yours truly, workaholic Ange
Sorry for being MIA lately! I was working 9 back to back shift at my second home Reuben Hills (come hang out at Reuben Hills and drink Sydney’s finest coffee! The filter coffee's are ridiculously good, I promise) but I’m all yours now, I promise.
Sandra’s featuring show at Raw Artist is happening this Saturday, so get onto that and purchase tickets asap! Sandra, Alex, Nic and Myself will be at Roxy Hotel getting groovy! So I hope to see some followers there.
I haven’t been doing much lately, so don’t have any photos to upload but today I was making myself a Camembert grilled cheese sandwich, listening to Vampire Weekend and decided to take this cute photo of my backyard.
Anyways, hope everyone’s having a lovely week and keeping yourselves warm/cool depending on which hemisphere you’re in! Adios!

On the theme of Love how incredible is this cover of Moon River? Honestly, Breakfast at TIffany's is one of my favourite novel and film and me being the hopeless romantic I am, I start to tear up whenever I listen to Moon RIver and I don't even know why!
I have to be up at 7 for work tomorrow, so I might just crawl into bed now with a mug of tea and just watch Breakfast at Tiffany's. In bed at 8:30pm on a friday night - I obviously like to live my life on the edge.

Women Who Changed The World: Fifty Inspirational Women Who Shaped History.
Mary Quant -
Mary Quant shaped women fashion when she created mini skirts and hot pants. She showed a generation how to dress to please themselves. Quant felt passionately that style and design should be available to everyone, not just the select few who could afford to pay high prices for hand-made, customised clothes.
Quant enjoyed experimenting when it came to fashion. Some of her most popular designers were sweater dresses with plastic collars, balloon-style dresses, and knickerbockers and stretch stockings in all colours and patterns. Other typical designs including knee-length white plastic lace-up boots, tight sweaters in bold striped or check patterns and plastic raincoats. These clothes became part of the 'London Look' and Quant became synonymous with trendiness. It is no surprise that Quant's designs have repeated history and have been seen in today's fashion trends.
By 1966, Quant had also brought out a range of affordable cosmetics bearing her trademark daisy logo. She encouraged users to use make-up brushes for applying eyeliner and blushers to achieve the doe-eyed, hollow cheeked lok of top model Twiggy.
For the first time clothes were being designed to uncover the body rather than dress it. "Fashion, as we know it, is over," she once said. "People wear now exactly what they feel like wearing."

So, I've decided to post my monthly favourites on tumblr. I will be starting with my July favourites so stay tuned and I will post them at the end of this month! It will range from my favourite clothing, book, music, movie, make up, places to be, art, food, drink; literally anything!
Also, I will be MIA for a few weeks because I'm just incredibly busy with work! I've been rostered to work full time next week; Monday - Friday so god knows how that's going to turn out for me.
Anyways, I hope all you lovelies have a grand week!

Apparently my idea of searching for inspiration is sitting on my bed, listening to The Police, doodling pot plant ladies and reading Shakespeare. How are you spending your Tuesday morning? Or whatever time it is around the world? - Ange

Love is the most powerful emotion, isn't it? It can be the single most beautiful thing on earth, or the most painful experience.
In our last meeting, Sandra and I decided to have monthly themed posts and because we're such romantics, we're starting off with the theme L-O-V-E.
I can be to the point and tell you what "the oxford dictionary meaning of love is" but isn't that ridiculous? To label an emotion with a dictionary definition; because let's be serious, you can literally love anything in the world. There is no limit to your love (even though, James Blake says otherwise).
And so, to start off our love themed posts, here's a cover of the hit song on marriage equality, Same Love, by the Australian singer and rapper Cam Nacson and L-Fresh the Lion.
I'm a 100% supporter of marriage equality and the concept of society limiting the people you can love sounds absolutely absurd to me. No law is going to change us. We have to change us. Whatever God you believe in. We come from the same one. Strip away the fear, underneath it's all the same love.
Let's not hate on our LGBTQ society. Love does not discriminate, so why should you?
